Fulham Build Up Thread

My Swansea supporting mate says Fulham were very poor tonight and offered little. A Fulham fan I know has been of the belief they will win on Saturday but after their game tonight thinks they have gone backwards and is hoping for a draw. They are also (apparently) in the running to bring in Mitroglu for 14mill. If they manage to get him, it would give them a real boost, but is probably just paper talk

Looking forward to it, and my first visit to a "neutral zone"!

We're in a good place at the moment, performance levels have picked up significantly and we are back to the side which shocked teams at the start of the year. Maybe we're not quite getting the results we should have, but all we have to do is continue as we have been doing and it will turn.

Fulham's defence is utterly, utterly, utterly dog ****e. As long as we're solid, we should cause them all sorts of issues.

Maybe we'll have a debutant too...

Be interesting to see if they get a big lift from any new signings, supposedly signed a Greek striker for £10m today...

Hope we can just suffocate then like we did at home, easiest 3 points all seasonz

He's a very good player.

Same starting 11 as tonight for me. New geezer and Wanyama on the bench

Wouldn't disagree with that, would be interesting to see how Sam gets on with a 2nd go. But based on our first half, you really wouldn't change a thing for the next game. It was beyond perfection.

Looking forward to another London away trip. Cork can't be dropped but feel Lambert will start if fit. Poch used Gallagher because he had too and although I liked him tonight, it's still early doors. Possibly a new signing? J rods pace to be too much for hangeland senderos and riise (could do what Johnson did to him for Sunderland).

Can't think of any reason to change tonight's team. Wanyama and Lambert are obvious candidates but Gallagher and Cork deserve to stay in the team.

Hopefully Fulham are as dreadful as they were at St Mary's earlier in the season. Probably our easiest win since we returned to the Premier League, they just looked hopeless. Didn't even look like they were trying half the time.

Oh for the good old days - great result against top of the league and then off to a team struggling and surrender and look very average. Don't think this will happen but The Cottage not a happy hunting ground for Saints. Decent following might see us over the line with a tight 1-0 - we just can't finish teams off at the moment!

Win lose or draw - who cares as long as they entertain? Enjoyed last night bar for the 10-mins after HT - felt we just might sneak it in the end. Might need some new legs - but these are professional footballers! Surely they can play two games a week?

Following Saints is so much more pleasurable these days - thought Yosh looked pretty solid - and Chambers gets better and better.

We've just drawn with the team at the top of the league and arguably should have won; Fulham are the worst team in the league at the moment, bar none, although they have just about got their central defence sorted out.

Gallagher to start once more - if there's a PL game he's going to score in, he won't have a better chance than against Fulham.

Three points please!

Fulham, while possibly the worst team in the league, will be a completely different proposition to Arse. They will chase and niggle more - could be a difficult game for the lads to control. If we manage to penetrate their defence rather than just play keep ball, it could be a mauling. 1-2 Saints.

I'd expect to see Lambert back, he's scored the last couple of times against Fulham, hopefully he'll be a bit fresher after having a couple of weeks out from competitive action. It will be interesting to see if Wanyama features, but it seems like Cork has been our best performer for the last couple of games.

Just a reminder you can get tickets still right next to our allocation in the ' neutral' zone ( nothing neutral about it... Will be full of saints fans). Lets have a London party and 3 pts please!

Looks like it's sold out - I've just logged in to take a look and there are plenty of tickets in the home ends, but the neutral zone is sold out or not available to buy online?

wow there are some cheap seats below cost price in other parts of the ground on there, worth using for people who just want to see the game.

the "Neutral stand" is the Putney end for those wanting to buy, it is the same stand as away fans and you enter using the same turnstiles. £35 in there at the moment.

for many games the neutral area is just an extension of the away end so you don't need to worry about being in with home fans, the ones who do go in there tend to be Japanese tourists taking lots of photos , and Aussies who just want to go to a soccer match

Those £35 neutral tickets incur an £8.30 booking charge on top of that. And we moan about the £1/£2 booking fee Saints charge! I'm going to chance it on the day and head to Craven Cottage without a ticket. Worst case buy something in the home end without that enormous booking charge. Anyone with a spare adult in the away end, let me know and I'd be happy to pay face value for it.

Don't think that is through the club, it's a ticket website...

Surely worth trying Cork & Wanyama against Fulham with one of them partnering Jose.

Or not.

Wanyama has played as a centre back in the past and Yoshida doesn't fill me with confidence (he was very much our weak link last night). Unlikely to happen on Saturday, but it isn't a completely bizarre suggestion.
