trousers Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 What's happened to Patterson? I thought he looked like one of our better prospects when I saw him in the pre-season game at Farnborough - he was a strong presence in the last third - but can't recall seeing him in any of the squads thus far. Any news?
Saint Martini Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 He's in the first team on OS but I guess with DMG and John (and at the moment Rasiak) at the club and only one striker position available I don't think he'll play that much this year.
Andy_Porter Posted 13 August, 2008 Posted 13 August, 2008 Needs another season in the reserves from what I saw in pre season, i'm sure he will get some chances this season though.

Agree, he has some big names in front of him, but he will get his opportunity at some time this season to show us what he's got. Apart from his outstanding workrate, what I really like about him is his mobility. He runs the front line like a good old fashioned striker! Think he will bag himself a few with the Ressies which should then give him the confidence to step up.
This Charming Man Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 Last I saw of Patterson, he was having a bit of a bowl against the South Africans in Leeds.
Junior Mullet Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 Last I saw of Patterson, he was having a bit of a bowl against the South Africans in Leeds. Wrong name, wrong person, just plain wrong. Now, put the keyboard down and get back on the pis$ for Matt le Tis
trousers Posted 14 August, 2008 Author Posted 14 August, 2008 Hot off the press - Pompey, Sunderland, Rangers and Celtic are all very interested in Saints young Scotland u19 international Matt Paterson. 6ft 3 Paterson is being hotly tipped to become the new Peter Crouch! http://www.rivals.net/forum/pgePosts.aspx?threadId=183835&boardId=104&clubId=74
broncoboy Posted 14 August, 2008 Posted 14 August, 2008 The hard part is holding on to young players when they attract attention Kind of messes up the total football revolution strategy If they are any good the larger clubs want to pick them up very young so they pay the minimum for them
