Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 27 January, 2014 Share Posted 27 January, 2014 Twitter world speculating Saints have flown him in to watch tomorrow's game with Arsenal with a view to signing. Probably a load of sh*t but, hey ho, it's a rumour.

S-Clarke Posted 27 January, 2014 Share Posted 27 January, 2014 A player we have been linked to for about 18 months. First came up in Adkins time here. Was very highly rated as an 18 year old, but is now 22 and hasn't really fulfilled all of his promise. Still, he's full of quality. (he's a striker, but can play part of a 3)

Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 27 January, 2014 Author Share Posted 27 January, 2014 27 Jan 2014 20:13:21 Saints have flown in a striker from Udinese Calcio tonight & he will be at the game tomorrow Its doing my head in trying to find out who it is, can't find anything on twitter etc. But I know they have flown someone in for sure. Can any shed any light? Found it. Good ol' Southampton Rumours. Sorry chaps...
revolution saint Posted 27 January, 2014 Share Posted 27 January, 2014 Probably just twitter bollix but frankly is it worth going again for another south american at all? Have we ever had a decent one? Off the top of my head only Guly has been a qualified success (for the league we signed him in etc). To be fair to the lad he looks good on the YouTube but then so did Gaston and so did Ramirez. Obviously it's wrong to label all South Americans like this (he could be like Suarez or Coutinho) but it's not like we've had much success in this area before. nta786 Posted 27 January, 2014 Share Posted 27 January, 2014 This guy is amazing on Football Manager- and we'd be pace abused on FIFA But in all seriousness, this guy doesn't seem all that when I've seen him in real life... It would all depend on the price tbh, but I don't think this guy would cut it in the Prem- hope I'm wrong though (only if he comes to us!)
nta786 Posted 27 January, 2014 Share Posted 27 January, 2014 You've mentioned 4 who never played and 2 who were good signings. I wouldn't judge anyone else on those. He might be great or ****. Must have a chance of the world cup with Falcao out? Pretty sure Jackson Martinez is their second striker... Though it will help his chances regardless. Just pointed our we've not had much luck with our imports from there thus far in my opinion. Yup, would imagine he will be one if their go to guys with Falcao out. thefuriousb Posted 28 January, 2014 Share Posted 28 January, 2014 Another gamble because our initial gamble failed. And how much of a gamble is allowing Osvaldo to go back to Italy, leaving Jay & Rickie to be covered by Sam Gallagher & your favourite, Guly? Saint Garrett Posted 28 January, 2014 Share Posted 28 January, 2014 Not sure you can claim to know anything about football if you think clubs don't watch players for an extensive period of time before making a bid If you read another of my recent posts, I said that I'm sure loads of clubs watch many different players for differing periods of time. If it turns out to be true, I might even say fair play Glasgow for being ITK, however, a dodgy rumour on football-rumours doesn't do much for me I'm afraid.
