Pretty good draw, actually. Sunderland are beatable, and a lot of big teams will knock each other out, while small teams are guaranteed to move on to the last 8. This looks promising.

Not happy, Sunderland always seem to drag out a result against us lately and a long away day for the fans. Oh well it is a decent chance to go through and more big guns likely to drop out!

Awful tie, getting kicked out of both domestic cups by a side struggling to stay in the league. Sunderland have been a real pain in the arse for us this season.

Great draw - we can beat them if we put out a decent team. With VW back in midfield we'll be less porous. More importantly two of city, arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool will go out by the 1/4 finals. I wonder how warm the balls were?

Pretty boring draw, but incredibly winnable. They are such a crap side, still confused as to how we've not beaten them as we're a gulf ahead.

Good chance to get to the quarters.

lol ! Live in Newcastle and was screaming at Andros' Dad to pull us out.

Reckon it will be first time I've ever been to a ground 3 times in a season.

Good draw. They are not great, are focused on the league primarily and if we win theres a good chance of another decent draw.

Hope we go full strength for this.

We've said this pretty much every time. They're our bogey team.

Our draw may not have been the best, but generally it is all good for us because two of the big teams are going!

Having booked up for the original League Cup date, then did the rearranged game, then had a nightmare on the train getting up there last week could do without yet another trek up there.

However, it it winnable, we do owe them one and the draw means a lot of the bigger teams will be knocked out. Would imagine Sunderland will be focused on Wembley and relegation survival.

We let them win in the league cup game. Surely they can return the favour. Besides, they've already got their Wembley day out. Also, none of their players will want to pick up injuries for that final 2 weeks after.

It's not that bad a draw. We showed how we can completely outplay them at theirs just last week, but obviously just need to sustain that over the whole match.

The loss to them in the league cup is hardly comparable at all, we'll be taking this way more seriously for several reasons - bigger competition, we have very little in the league to play for, and they still have lots, plus the league cup final.
