Batman Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/25888443 looks like it will happen
Baldbarbarian Posted 27 January, 2014 Posted 27 January, 2014 If the IBF hadnt ordered it I dont think it would have happened.
Clunge Posted 27 January, 2014 Posted 27 January, 2014 Common sense prevails, should never have been stopped so quickly, rematch is what all boxing fans want to see. Safe to say Froch will not be looking forward to the rematch!
Batman Posted 24 May, 2014 Author Posted 24 May, 2014 going to be good. 80k people at a boxing event my ticket still has not arrived yet :-(
Turkish Posted 25 May, 2014 Posted 25 May, 2014 Will be great fight. Think froch will win it in about the 9th or 10th. Last time we saw the best of groves and the worst of Froch.
Turkish Posted 25 May, 2014 Posted 25 May, 2014 Will be great fight. Think froch will win it in about the 9th or 10th. Last time we saw the best of groves and the worst of Froch. That won't happen again.
dickyhale Posted 27 May, 2014 Posted 27 May, 2014 Think Froch will win it in about the 7th and give Groves good hiding . Last time we saw the best of groves and the worst of Froch. Froch is 20/1 with corals in round seven. Also a very good under-card with another mouthy c-nt James Degale. Also on the card are Anthony Joshua, Jamie McDonnell and Kevin Mitchell
hypochondriac Posted 27 May, 2014 Posted 27 May, 2014 Can't wait. Have my ticket and going with a mate.
St Marco Posted 27 May, 2014 Posted 27 May, 2014 Will be there too, can't wait. Some good undercard fights too. Froch will probably win via knockout. He made way too many mistakes in the first one which I can't see him repeating. If he turns up in the way he did against Bute then Groves is in for some serious pain.
saint_jas Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Will be there too after a trip to Twickenham to watch the rugby final. Reckon Froch will win in 7 by KO.
hypochondriac Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Any idea what time we should arrive at Wembley for? Didn't want to miss drinking time but didn't want to miss the undercard fights.
St Marco Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 Any idea what time we should arrive at Wembley for? Didn't want to miss drinking time but didn't want to miss the undercard fights. Think the fights start at 6pm and doors open at 5pm. I could be wrong though. We go to baker street for drinks as the ones at Wembley Park are always rammed. Plus it is only two stops away on the tube if I remember right. Think we will be there from around 2ish and make our way there about 4.45pm. If you want to watch the fights I would give yourself 30mins so be there 5.30pm at the latest imo.
Clunge Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 I'm going for Groves win, always liked Froch but do think he's coming to the end of a great career, Groves will be to quick for him to handle. Saying that the later the fight goes on the less likely Groves will win it, needs it done in first half of fight, evidence from first fight shows he's got power to knock Froch down though. Either way expecting a great fight, mush prefer boxing when the opponents have a genuine dislike of each other.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 . If he turns up in the way he did against Bute then Groves is in for some serious pain. Yep https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPkPJLgFHXU
Wade Garrett Posted 28 May, 2014 Posted 28 May, 2014 If Froch goes in with his left hand low, Groves will destroy him. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Groves all day long for me.
bazza Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 I can't stand Groves and would love Froch to knock him out. That said he's a good fighter and definitely in with a shout. Froch on points. Just.
Batman Posted 29 May, 2014 Author Posted 29 May, 2014 Looks like I wont be going. Seatwave (who we ordered the tickets off) seemingly have delivered our tickets to the right street, but wrong city ffs
Convict Colony Posted 29 May, 2014 Posted 29 May, 2014 What a bunch of tools, bad luck mate. I won't be going as live in Africa but it's on DSTV here for free so I will defo be watching it. Think Froch has an awkward style that is hard to deal with so I actually think groves will have greater understanding of how he needs to fight him. George starts fast and builds up a sizable lead before Frochs legendary endurance kicks in, the only question is whether he can catch groves before the end of the 12th. I would be seriously shocked if either ended it early. On a side note I flew to Helsinki from Singapore for his Artur Abraham fight and was lucky enough to be staying in the same hotel as him. On the morning of his fight he wonders downstairs and we just start chatting randomly and have a pic together, was a top man then but seems to of changed since his ward fight and the wider recognition from the boxing public. Groves on pts as his engine lets him get to 12.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 30 May, 2014 Posted 30 May, 2014 Looks like I wont be going. Seatwave (who we ordered the tickets off) seemingly have delivered our tickets to the right street, but wrong city ffs Camden by mistake?
Colinjb Posted 30 May, 2014 Posted 30 May, 2014 Seems daft that to order this via sky you need to have your box connected by both Ethernet cable and phone-line.

scotty Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 That embarrassing c*nt Eubank is on at the moment, lithping and thporting hith f*cking monocle. What a f*cking tw*t.
JoeShmoe Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 That embarrassing c*nt Eubank is on at the moment, lithping and thporting hith f*cking monocle. What a f*cking tw*t. Still remember his tear ups with Nigel Benn though, one of the few sets of fights that really did live up to its hype
shurlock Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 Seeing Michael Watson speak still a chilling experience. That whole era -McClellan, Benn, Eubank, Watson...
pangy Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 Fights like this are the equivalent of big England games or the Grand National when everyones comes out the woodwork like an expert
Jonnyboy Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 Fights like this are the equivalent of big England games or the Grand National when everyones comes out the woodwork like an expert and massively over hyped.
Turkish Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 I'm just amazed neither of them are wearing red shorts, our experts on here told us that would have guaranteed victory.
dubai_phil Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 I'm just amazed neither of them are wearing red shorts, our experts on here told us that would have guaranteed victory. Yeah but surely the tassles are a fashion feux pa.....
Turkish Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 Yeah but surely the tassles are a fashion feux pa..... Awful aren't they. What doyou expect from a ginger?
dubai_phil Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 OK I ain't watched boxing for YEARS hell even Decades. But I think Froch is looking the better boxer
markr27 Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 Groves' left leg folded like a deckchair. What a right-hander from Froch, out of nowhere!
Sour Mash Posted 31 May, 2014 Posted 31 May, 2014 Relative to all the hype, I found that pretty boring. Froch's Mrs is very fit, worth waiting to the end for her to jump on.
saint_jas Posted 1 June, 2014 Posted 1 June, 2014 Cracking day, Twickenham before this. Then watch Froch destroy Groves.... Atmosphere superb at Wembley.... Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Batman Posted 1 June, 2014 Author Posted 1 June, 2014 (edited) throughly enjoyed the evening. spent an f-ing fortune but hey ho Froch was the better fighter but im sure groves will be world champion one day I can see froch retiring after this if he does not get a big fight in Vegas next. Degale is the mandatory challenger and he will get destroyed by froch and it will be nothing like last night as a spectacle Edited 1 June, 2014 by Batman
