From a contact at the club I have been told that of our recent signings, lovren and wanyama were les reed signings and ramirez and osvaldo were cortese signings! Say no more!

I thought MP had final say on all tranfers, so surely they're all his signings..?

Cortese sat on the board of the transfer committee that much is true.... And Id suggest thats about all from that statement

Oh, i forgot to add Guly. Those Brazilians are pretty damn good at UFC mixed martial arts fighting stuff so he could be tasty in a match up with Dani. We should ask MasterGraves /Pilchards what his martial arts fighting assessment of our squad would be.

Have all these people who are calling him a great player been watching someone else this season?

Man City goal aside, he's been ****ing terrible every time he's played for us.

Or are their interest in football bigger than just watching Saints games and therefor know a bit more of his career....?

Would explain why Miss L wanted a bit more control. It doesn't take many of those sort of signings to ruin a club the size of Saints.

Seems very likely MP's signing so that's where the criticism should be.

Still, his value won't have gone down that much for Italian clubs, and could go up if he has a good world cup. We won't be paying near 15m anyway the way it's going. A loan might be best to get him out and hopefully finding form before selling.

Doesn't help when we've had injury problems does it. Good on the club though for acting. We need him, but they've put discipline before results. If he's going to be a **** I'd rather play Gallagher.

Adrian I said this when the cultist was here and got bullied, harrassed and abused for it, the happier ones are changing their tune now on Cortese whereas I have always been the consistent one on him, strange the realists seem to be correct and yet get abused, weird logic on here.

Thing he's what, 28 o 29? Not much chance of changing him now, or too much time to do it in.

I think a lot of people start to get their heads on straight as they approach 30. Deep down, he knows his problems have followed him around so it will dawn on him that he's the problem.

Also Chambers. He wouldn't box with any quality but I think he'd have a decent chin on him.

Well seeing as its silly season ...

I reckon Jos, Boruc and Rickie would "do" Osvaldo pretty quickly in a UFC bout, but i reckon he would take out the likes of Shaw, Ads, Clyne, Jrod and Cork no trouble. Bit more competitive with Davis who is smaller but tougher id say. Think Morgan would not be having it because he's french but if punch comes to shove i think he might outbox him and get a points decision. Not sure about Fonte - he could be tough but then again he might not be. Kelvin would go toe to toe i think and that would be a good match up. Gaston is not going to be fighting anyone but i would'nt be surprised if Gazza was a dark horse- with his reach and height and athleticism he could be a dark horse, hes clearly got a good kick on him so one of those twirling efforts could be lethal. Big Vic, if fit, would be the one to watch of course. If I had to say who would be the best it would probably be Vic, but i reckon Osvaldo would be up there in our top five largely because he would be our most mentalist fighter.

Hope that's helped the conversation.

Good analysis and I would concur on much of it. One thing I would mention that technique beats out mental every day of the week.

I see Vic as more of a slow plodder who would wear you down as you can't put him down.

My pound for pound champion mythical fighter in the squad would probably have to be Sam Gallagher.

6ft 4in, speed and technique with range combined with youth as well as being Scottish combines to make it a policemans worst nightmare.

why are we tweeting/ airing this publicly?

Something like this would have found it's way into a newspaper pretty quickly, takes some of the impact off the stories if the club has already informed fans of the incident and shown that they have taken action against him.

He's let everyone at the club down, a standalone incident is not acceptable, but doing something that forces the club to suspend him just as a previous suspension for fighting on the touchline expires shows a disregard for the club, manager and team mates that brings into question whether or not he should be here.

Of course there is always Dangerlove......Croatians are ALWAYS well "ard so its not out of the question. Think Dejan would batter him myself. The referee would have to step in quick because it would get very messy quite quickly. Then again hes meant to be injured so its not worth even discussing it,but if they did then Lovren would certainly take him out #wouldbecarnage

Even on 1 leg Dejan would snap his arm right off

Yep. He was terrible. If he were any good we'd be in the top half of the Premier League now, rather than being sat in League Two as we currently do.

He has been disappointing and although he has scored he has not delivered as much as we had hoped

He looks like an 80s rock star which is okay if he behaved like a professional athlete

Yeah i think so too- hes got a lot of good characteristics but he is a bit young so how many times has that chin been tested? Would need to see him fight some championship or league one player first before i could give a fair idea on what he would be like up against an italian international.
