No idea if it's true or not but I've been told it all happened over a bad tackle on a youth player, not Osvaldo. Assume it's ******** but Jos said it apparently. And apparently it was Osvaldo doing the tackle, and Fonte reacted so Osvaldo nutted him. Sounds like my mates getting confused but meh never know

So which account were they taking the pictures from then? I really don't think Osvaldo is famous enough for people to care enough to make a fake account.

you realise there are fake lallana accounts aswell as a fake ward-prowse twitter account

Following Kelv's comments it looks like Osvaldo has a lot of people to apologise to and convince he deserves another chance.

We do however need to be careful not to fully close the door on him if he is prepared to let bygones be bygones and try again. Given no one on the outside knows the full facts I think we need to trust in Mo Po to deal with this in the clubs best interests.

I remember Liverpool fans being up in arms about Suarez's conduct last year. I bet they are glad he patched it up and stayed on now!

Reports in Italy saying he's going out on loan and will then be sold for €12m.

Plenty of interest in Italy & Spain.

Yeah, I'd imagine IF we do want rid of him, it will be fairly simple to loan him out until the summer.

They'll be a fair few teams interested.

Don't thin it will be as straight forward as people think to get rid of him this window. Isn't his girlfriend due to give birth in the next month or so? Can't see them being overly keen to move right now.

Well he should have thought about that before he decided to but someone.

Wouldn't give a **** what he's keen on, he's out the door.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/southampton-goalkeeper-kelvin-davis-says-3061758

Southampton keeper Kelvin Davis has told £15million striker Dani Osvaldo: 'We don't want you back at St Mary's'.

The fiery Italian has been suspended for two weeks after allegedly head-butting team-mate Jose Fonte in an attack said by sources to have been particularly brutal.

The club are ready to listen to offers for Osvaldo as long as they can get a replacement in.

Asked if he could see a future for the striker at the club, 37-year-old Davis confirmed that the Southampton squad have taken a dim view of the incident.

He said: Davis said: "We are a friendly bunch. We come and talk to you guys [the media] whenever you ask us.

"We've said for a long time that we have always had a good team spirit and a good changing room.

"That can't change and if anyone doesn't want to be involved in that then they are not welcome."

"Krueger is known for his motivational speaking career, in which he explores the elements necessary to build a high-performance team. He places team spirit above individual success and he details the philosophy in his autobiographical self-help book, Teamlife: From Failure to Success."

Our Ice hockey coach may have a say in the Osvaldo affair given the above para!

The headline is OTT but KD knew exactly what he was saying.

He will surely go on loan this week.

Then why didn't he say it? It sounded like he was saying, if he's willing to come into the group that's fine, if he doesn't then he has to go....

That is far from saying 'you have to go, we aren't going to give you another chance' which is what the headline suggests.

Because Davis is a professional

Exactly - he would have never said that we won't give Dani a chance because he isn't like that. We will give Dani a second chance if he is willing to change and integrate into the group, that's what he said and that's what I believe the squad would do if the opportunity/circumstances arose. So he knew what he was saying, but he wasn't saying what Saint Charlie inferred he was I don't think.

The match writeup on the BBC gives a totally different impression to the Mirror. Seem to suggest forgive and forget.

"Southampton captain Kelvin Davis said the club were hoping to move on following an altercation involving team-mates Dani Osvaldo and Jose Fonte. "What has happened has happened. As a team, as a squad, as a club, we are looking forward and we are very much together. "We showed that again in this game and it is something we just want to move on from. It is something we want to move on and concentrate on what happens out there [on the pitch]. "Our dressing room is as solid as it has ever been and it will continue to be so."

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25789059

Edit: Actually just watched the Saint player interview. He goes on to say we have a great dressing room spirit and if people dont want to be a part of that they aren't welcome.

Way way too soon to think about getting rid, unless the rift with the rest of the squad is irreparable. He clearly has an awful lot of talent, but he just hasn't really started to fulfil yet for whatever reason. If he hasn't got up to speed in a year/18 months time, then is time to start thinking that we have wasted our money. As things are, it really wouldn't surprise me if he ended up having a great career with us. His time in Italy shows him to be an extremely talented striker; he needs a run of undisturbed pitch time before we can really condemn him.

It really isn't too early. Now with what Super Kelv said yesterday, I would guess most of the squad want to get rid of them too. I don't think Osvaldo himself wants to be here either. He clearly has a big ego and we don't seem to have any in our squad (apart from Lallana since he started playing for England ;)We thought it was the best signing we have ever made, turns out it was the worst. That's life, sell him quick, draw a blue line under it and move on

The worst? My memory isn't the greatest, but even I remember worse. Delgado, Ripley, Groves, Speedie, Beresford, Dia, Davenport, Jakobsen, Forecast, the list goes on. Hypothetically, if DO had stuck the nut on Jason Euell for instance, would there be an outcry like there is now he has done it to a fan favorite? I don't like to brand people with stereotypes or labels, but there seems to be lots of knee jerking and bet wetting going on here over this. Ok, it isn't a great situation and it really shouldn't have happened, but does it really warrant the internet firing squad?
