Was she there?

sure its probably somewhere else (so apologies to the 'thread police'), but did she go to Sunderland?

If she didnt, then why not?

Couldnt be arsed (she is in the country) because she doesnt like football?

Couldnt be arsed because it was Sunderland (would have gone to The Emirates perhaps)?

I would have thought that if she was going to make a go of running the club, then she would have gone. Her non appearance (if so) would suggest to me that she is not interested and wants out.

Or...maybe she thought staying away would avoid a media scrum and allow the team to concentrate on the game...

The fact that she didn't appear on our TV screens would suggest she wasn't there.

Does it matter if she goes to games or not? Markus didn't go to every game.

Slap in the face of our tradition not to go and shows a lack of respect and commitment.

Hearing some rumours from employees that things are going to be difficult under KL.

Wow! OP asks a question in the thread title. In the post itself we get two questions, two rhetorical questions , and four assumptions (disguised as questions). Are you actually asking a question (questions), or merely presenting a set of assumptions?

If she did she would have felt almost at home - in the Wear valley behind (actually the main entrance) of the Stadium of Light, is a massive Liebherr crane factory - with Liebherr in extra large letters on the side. You can't miss it from the main entrance. Actually looked like cranes for offshore installations (rigs, platforms etc) but could wrong

Didn't see many saints fans out that side, but every ground we go to we always make an effort to walk right around the outside and take fotos etc. The original winding wheel from the Monkwearmouth Colliery is there as well as some bit of modern sculpture on the valley side. There wasd also a plaque commemorating the planting of an oak by prof David Bellamy when the ground was built - but looks like the tree died a long time ago.

Impressive ground from the outside though imo

Thanks for adding something real and interesting to the thread!

Apparently after being shown around the training ground she has already asked for changes to the design. A mural of her face in going to installed on the face of every wall, and from the end of the season Aap3 are going to be replaced on the shirts by her face. Players are being told they must take part in private meetings on a daily basis with her in her new office (complete with installed jacuzzi and heart shaped bed), especially 'ze one that has the look of ze Johnny Depp'. If players refuse, they will be sold.

Pochettino has been told money is available to buy players if needed, but only if certain 'conditions' are added to their contracts.

Life is going to be tough under Kl...

So why would she have felt at home? Some folks still don't seem to have grasped, Markus and his daughter have nothing to do with the Liebherr engineering company (the one that makes cranes, fridges etc). Nothing, other than it is owned by Markus' brother and sister. KL is not part of that business AFAIK, and neither was Markus since he sold all of his shares years ago before starting his own business (MALI), and even his business now no longer exists to all intents and purposes. Did KL have a business career of her own before she inherited her father's "empire"? It might be interesting to know what her own background is, to know whether she has any particular business acumen/skills which she can bring to the table, but I don't think she is connected in any way to Liebherr or even to MALI (other than overseeing its demise).

As far as I can see she worked with the Mali group before but then seemed to stop for about 3 years and has only recently become a signatory to their accounts again...what's left of their "accounts" that is.
