Berkshire Saint Posted 19 January, 2014 Share Posted 19 January, 2014 What the actual f*** to those dippy Sunderland fans, what the actual f*** to people slating him on here. Best keeper since Niemi, arguably better (though more mental) than Niemi. Jesus H. This. Absolutely baffled by that thread on the Sunderland forum! Olallana Posted 19 January, 2014 Share Posted 19 January, 2014 This. Absolutely baffled by that thread on the Sunderland forum! They probably only see us at MOTD and the Stoke and Arsenal goals has been shown there over and over again...

david in sweden Posted 20 January, 2014 Share Posted 20 January, 2014 I don't think our best defence was in front KD when he played not in the Burnley game perhaps, but against Chelsea and Everton ..the back line was Chambers, Fonte, Lovren and Shaw. Have I missed something or is there a better defence than those four?. I'm more concerned that Gazzaniga is still in the frame, when it's painfully clear that he won't to be in the running for the no.1 shirt for several years at least - if ever. studentsaint Posted 20 January, 2014 Share Posted 20 January, 2014 Football fans have short memories. Am I the only 1 that watched that first goal and thought unlucky boruc, got fingertips and it would have Bern a brilliant save if he'd made it. Maybe I should watch it again. Second goal was awful but all keepers make mistakes.
Baird of the land Posted 20 January, 2014 Share Posted 20 January, 2014 Disappointing day at the office for Boruc. He is a good keeper though and its from the expectation that he'd normally save both those shots that the disappointment stems from. Hopefully it was just a blip and that he'll be back to his usual excellence from here on in.
Son of Bob Posted 20 January, 2014 Share Posted 20 January, 2014 Is the OP serious? Prior to his injury Boruc was the best performing keeper in the Premier League. He'll probably need a few games to sharpen back up but one mistake doesn't suddenly make him crap! Seriously, who would you prefer in goal? Barry Sanchez Posted 20 January, 2014 Share Posted 20 January, 2014 Stoke, Arsenal, Sunderland and probably a few more BUT he is by far the best we have here.
Barry Sanchez Posted 20 January, 2014 Share Posted 20 January, 2014 This basically That does not mean or say much really does it? He is the best keeper since we have come up from League 1.

Uh no, I think Niemi was one of our best keepers in certainly my saints watching lifetime, Id argue that Boruc is about at that level. He has definately made a few mistakes but essentially Id say a lot of our early season form was down to him aswell. Saying he is a weaklink is madness. He is easily one of the top 10 keepers in this league so long as the Arsenal debarcle doesnt happen again. Saying Manonne is a better keeper is rediculous.
