The funny thing if we were talking, say, Harry Redknapp, none of you divs for a minute would question the idea that he would have the phone numbers of a key journalist or two.

Bless your little hearts you think your Nicky is everso different.

Put yourself in Cortese's place, how would you feel if Blackmore phoned you up on the Sunday morning after you left the club because he was curious about a newspaper story? Would you even take the call, let alone give him an answer to the question? And yet you think that is more plausible than Blackmore contacting one of the media department he regularly sees, follows on Twitter and would have the work email for.

I'm very tempted to add you to my ignore list along with Turkish. Bizarre argumentative viewpoints combined with petty personal insults. Yep, thats sorted, I won't be conversing with you anymore.

Carry on peeps. Back to the takeover talk...

Katharina has checked into a hotel in Winchester for 4 nights with 4 other people and they have asked for a 'closed off' room. Oh and she smokes.

All together now.........

SOURCE?

Thanks Griffo, we can get this back on tract now and away from the CBF is the only poster ever right all the time discussion

You've seen Harry Redknapp lean out of his car window on Sky Sports on transfer deadline day, so Adam Blackmore must be phoning Cortese at home on Sunday.

What planet are you on? (or what computer games do you play?)

You really have made a complete fool of yourself on this thread.

Probably just the process of appointing a new CEO.

Didn't say it wasn't. Trying to find out the names of the other 4, hopefully will know today or tomorrow. There wasn't a Chinese bloke or wherever this Wang is from, they were all white.

LOL.

Sweet, precious Nicola with howwible journalists bothering him. How dare they.

No, you're right. He was probably on the phone to Neil Ashton. Or organising an "official" sactioned conversation with Neil Ashton through Neil's PA.

I'm still chuckling from the suggestion that believing Harry Redknapp and Nicola Cortese are "ever so different" is somehow a strange or odd belief.

Anyone reading the papers this week will see just how similar they are.

They are clearly spectacularly different people, with wildly different backgrounds, styles, careers, professional approaches, personalities, ambitions etc.

Redknapp is basically felt to be a shoot-from-the-hip, provide comment off the cuff, chit chatty sort of manager with a "geezer" personality having spent his whole career in football (and as a media personality). Cortese is a pretty inscrutable, somewhat understated, rather controlling Swiss banker.

I don't think it's too much of a leap to suggest that they may well handle their interactions with the British media rather differently.

Jesus Christ, MLG. Blackmore's source is almost certainly Cortese or someone very close.

You realise your hero who you used to pretend did his business "properly" and "privately" has spent the last week blabbing to anyone who will listen in the press like an evicted Celebrity Big Brother housemate.

All I want to know is when Blackmore calls the Cortese residence first thing on a Sunday morning, does he ask for Nic or Mr Cortese?

You're right. One of them has spent a long time cultivating a media image through selected press sychphants that he is some king midas whose departure would spell disaster for any club.

And the other one is the current manager of QPR.

Dont shoot me down for this, but i have just heard from a good source who i will not name as it could effect his employment.

Anyway not sure if this has been said before or is common knowledge but Rod Stewart is going to buy the club and Gordon Strachan is going to be the new manager.

This sounds perfect if its corect!

What, you mean Rod Stewart isnt buying the club anymore?

Well they're the ones who are actively making the comparison, not some benighted Westerner from deepest, most inbred part of Hampshire.

Tan is of Chinese origin and plenty have suggested -the author Joe Studwell being the best example- how the South East Asian diaspora is a blueprint for how entrepreneurs on the mainland, though largely in the south of the country, run and look at their businesses.

You're out of your depth on this one, sunshine.

Tbh I am not that interested. And any old person can delve around the internet. Doesn't make you an investigative journalist sunshine.

any chance that Hofsetter isn't Hofstetter who are international business law specilaists?

Christ, why do the government spend millions on GCHQ, when you can unravel a mystery by google ?.

Well done chaps, that does look like serious googling on your part.

Just pointing out your casual rascism. I am not interested in speculation from you as if you have any insight. It is a rumour.

Quite apart from any truth in the rumour, someone suggested that they didn't like the idea of Far Eastern owners - simply noted that Wang didn't fit the same template.

Casual racism?

Odd

Oh oh, here comes Capt. Hans Geering.

René: May I tell you a little legend, Colonel? It is said that these champagne glasses were modeled on the bosom of Marie Antoinette.

Capt. Hans Geering: They should have modeled them on Katarina's bosom. We would have got a bigger drink.
