PhilippineSaint Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Speaking of Yeovil, anyone ever been there? I have the image of this blueprint rural town with its church, post office and pub about it... the Yeovil Sheepskin shop was always good for leather goods if its still there.
lickierambert Posted 25 January, 2014 Author Posted 25 January, 2014 Roy Hodgson at Bournemouth today. Quite a reasonable chance he'll take in our game afterwards
dubai_phil Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 the Yeovil Sheepskin shop was always good for leather goods if its still there. ^this. Got mine for my 18th still going strong now, AND I can still get into it
Window Cleaner Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Roy Hodgson at Bournemouth today. Quite a reasonable chance he'll take in our game afterwards for what, watching our reserves thump a Championship minnow, yeah right. He's at Bournemouth to watch Gerrand,Sturridge and Henderson, perhaps Harry has invited him round for a barbecue afterwards.
Saint Charlie Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 If he plays I can see Miller causing Yoshida and Hooiveld problems.
Saint_clark Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 for what, watching our reserves thump a Championship minnow, yeah right. He's at Bournemouth to watch Gerrand,Sturridge and Henderson, perhaps Harry has invited him round for a barbecue afterwards. So you reckon he won't watch any games then? He won't get anywhere else in time, he works his schedule so he can watch as many relevant games as possible and with Lambert, Lallana, Rodriguez, JWP, Clyne, Shaw all potentially involved he'll definitely be there. By the way, Liverpool are also playing Championship minnows so not sure what relevance that has.
stevy777_x Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Not even if he was loaned straight back to us? What is the point if doing that? He might go to the World cup this year the way je has been playing. If that happens his value Will go up even more, don't see the point in selling him now.
simo Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 If he plays I can see Miller causing Yoshida and Hooiveld problems. Lol because Miller is a great player
Matthew Le God Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Captain starting Technically the captain always starts the game.
THEVMAN Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 That's twice I've fallen of my chair laughing now
Saint_clark Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Technically the captain always starts the game. I bet people get right p*ssed off with you down the pub.
trousers Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Kelvin in goal. Yoshida, JWP, Guly and Hooiveld start. Fonte on bench
DG Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Stuck a couple of quid on a Guly hattrick at 48s - nailed on.
Window Cleaner Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Kelvin in goal. Yoshida, JWP, Guly and Hooiveld start. Fonte on bench Shaw also starts, usually CMs as well though. Adam starts as well, can't remember what the strike force is though. one of Rickie or Jay I suppose. Good side anyway, far too good for Yeovil.
trousers Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 No Lambert or Jordan Sibley (reading out the teams).... make of that what you will....
Saint_clark Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 F*ck sake, if I miss Guly scoring because of rail bus replacements I'm not gonna be impressed.
James Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 No lambert today. With the Osvaldo developments he's the one player we cannot afford to lose!
S-Clarke Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 No Lambert or Jordan Sibley (reading out the teams).... make of that what you will.... Bromance?
Saint_clark Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 No Lambert or Jordan Sibley (reading out the teams).... make of that what you will.... I make nothing of it.
Viking Warrior Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 I was hoping victor would be back today . Still a good side and fonte on the bench
Saint Charlie Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Strong team. Hope Boruc injury not too bad.
James Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Strong team. Hope Boruc injury not too bad. Is he even injured?
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 I hope Lambert is having a rest and doesn't have a knock. Jay leads the line in a different way - I quite like the balance in the team though. Lots of players who can interchange and pull the opposition out of their shape.
Window Cleaner Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 I was hoping victor would be back today . Still a good side and fonte on the bench Jesus said he wouldn't be though, may be hoping to play him on tuesday, probably not from the start though.
Saint Charlie Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Is he even injured? Echo guy just said: No Boruc either for #saintsfc as expected. Perez said Thurs he's back in normal training after knock vs Sunderland. Should be ok for Arsenal Which is good.
S-Clarke Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Is he even injured? Yeah, was injured in the closing stages of the Sunderland game.
Saint_clark Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Did Lambert go off injured in a recent game? Or am I imagining that?
Batman Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 if we go into the arsenal game with no lambert, boruc, wanyama (starting) gaston and ossie can only see a win for the gunners
trousers Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Lambert = hamstring Boruc = bad back Both "minor injuries" and expected back in training tomorrow
doubleonothing Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 @SouthamptonFC: Rickie Lambert (hamstring) and Artur Boruc (back) miss today’s game with minor problems. Both expected back in training tomorrow. #saintsfc
Batman Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 @SouthamptonFC: Rickie Lambert (hamstring) and Artur Boruc (back) miss today’s game with minor problems. Both expected back in training tomorrow. #saintsfc thank god for that see gazza is most definitely 3rd choice
James Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Yeah, was injured in the closing stages of the Sunderland game. Doesn't mean that's why he isn't playing today though? Could just be rested for Arsenal. He stayed on at Sunderland and made a few saves so I don't think it's too bad. Makes sense to protect him for Arsenal. Just seen the above. So ignore that.
Viking Warrior Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Boric injured his hand trying to catch Fonte's head fallowing a classic headed shot from dani but he dropped it leaving fonte with black eye . A club spokesmen said that it would have been better for boruc to let the head his the back of the net and reducing the chance of serious injury occurring

Plus we have to give our #2 keeper some game time, we saw what happens if you don't do that with Gazza, no real football for months on end (U21s isn't real football) and he was totally lost, by the time he got a grip we'd conceded a shedload of stoppable goals.
Saint Charlie Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Jos must be utterly suprised he still gets a game for us. Would be better as CEO than CB IMO.
Window Cleaner Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Jos must be utterly suprised he still gets a game for us. Would be better as CEO than CB IMO. It's Yeovil, he was OK in the Championship, it's just PL attackers that upend him completely because they think at a speed which he obviously can't and have the technical ability to do exactly what they want instead of near enough what they want. He may well look a lot better with the usual left side of the backfield in place. Shaw is not Fox and Morgan isn't JWP or Davis or whoever it was that replaced him.
Hamilton Saint Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Anyone have Saints Player going? Unusual for them not to be one by now for a Home game.
Window Cleaner Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Anyone have Saints Player going? Unusual for them not to be one by now for a Home game. no, then again that's not unusual for me, can't stand Merrington and limit it to just the match. There's the Saints YouTube pre-match show though, you can follow that from the official site. As Bournemouth are playing perhaps the Saints Player emission starts later today, linked to Solent isn't it ?..
Matthew Le God Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Anyone have Saints Player going? Unusual for them not to be one by now for a Home game. Listen to the Yeovil commentary instead.
Barry the Badger Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Boruc was training at Staplewood today. I cycled past. I'm ITK.
captainchris Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Jos must be utterly suprised he still gets a game for us. Would be better as CEO than CB IMO. For sure. Jos should be no where our team - no where near....
Window Cleaner Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 For sure. Jos should be no where our team - no where near.... Once again it's Yeovil, the U21 lads are obviously nowhere near ready and we have a game on Tuesday evening. Maya and Jos today, Maya and José on Tuesday because that is all we have.

Maya and Jos today, Maya and José on Tuesday because that is all we have. I don't think Stephens and Turnbull will make it for us anyway. Neither has kicked on.
Window Cleaner Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 I don't think Stephens and Turnbull will make it for us anyway. Neither has kicked on. I am repeatedly told I'm not allowed to diss the U21s so no comment.
Hamilton Saint Posted 25 January, 2014 Posted 25 January, 2014 Listen to the Yeovil commentary instead. "What Yeovil must not do now is concede a third goal before half-time ..."
