Jesus has said Wanyama probably won't play.

I really doubt that the team will be that weak, some thought that before the Burnley game and in the end we put out a good side, fortunately for us. This time I expect to start with a strongish side and then sub the core players when we're 3 or 4 up, hopefully before half time. One first team regular at least in every department of the side, 2 in defence.

I think the 20000 will include the 3200, seemed to be that way last time, as large parts of the stadium seem to be closed for this game can't be far from sold out surely.

this game will not be sold out due to parts of the stadium being closed :mcinnes:

the club have already opened a couple more blocks from what was originally available when they went on sale, and they will continue to do so if required as other areas fill up. the grounds capacity has not been reduced!

what's the worst bench we've put out in a professional game? We could be on for a record this Saturday as I think Osvaldo, Lovren, Boruc, Wanyama, Ramirez, Shaw and Fonte won't play any part.

I can't imagine our bench will include the likes of Lee Molyenux, Ryan Smith, Paul Wotton, Tommy Forecast, Gasmi or Lancashire - so no, this won't be the worst bench we've put out for a professional game.

As long as the team we put out is good enough to beat Yeovil without taxing principal players too much I don't really care if we put U8 girls to make up the bench because only 3 subs will play. We have enough possibilities within the group to cover most positions with just 3 subs.

If we're comfy into the second half, sub Fonte and Shaw for Yoshi and Fox. Rest Adam.

If attack isn't cutting it, bring in Lambo, JRod and Morgan for Gallagher, Guly and JWP second half.

Bring in Victor for a run out towards the end if poss.

My second trip over from Kent this season with my 15 yr old son.

I think a cup run would do the club a power of good, therefore the strongest squad possible from the beginning.

If we put out a team of strangers and Yeovil get a sniff then it could all go horribly wrong.

If we get comfortably ahead, then give some of the youngsters a run out

I think the difference is we have arsenal at home 3 days later. Plus, Burnley were a banana skin, near the top of the championship, and with dangerous strikers. Yeovil are the sort of team the likes of guly, jos and fox were having field days against 2 years ago. They also had Hoskins as a main striker, so I'd give Gallagher a chance with Lallana behind, especially as Lambert is our only fit striker and would be tired or injured for arsenal.

around 1400 tickets left in areas currently open the majority of those are in the Itechen which now has Blocks 13 and 14 open in addtion to the areas that originally went on sale

Would say around 20,600 tickets sold so far inclyding Yeovil tickets

Woiuld expect crowd to be over 21K by kick off

I am changing my prediction from 5-1 to 3-2 to 1-1. I think this will be a 2nd string team and a huge banana skin!

`With the two games in mind ` means the players that we have got that are fit or not due to be fighting in a cage fight will be saved for the Arsenal and Fulham game.

Even though Yeovil are in relegation position they did beat Birmingham the other week!

With our super dodgy defence and 75% possension play providing a few shots on target as in Burnley game Yeovil can be sure they with a 3200 allocation have every chance of getting goals.

So 1-1 then 2-1 in extra time, will it go to reply if draw or result on the day?

It's Yeovil FFS, the U21s could probably beat Yeovil because they really aren't all that good. 15 defeats so far this season and they have a 20% win record in the league.5 wins out of 25 .

Can you give an example of what a second string would look like?

This was the Saints line-up in the last round of the FA Cup...

I can't see us picking anything resembling a first team for this, despite our guaranteed 9th in the Prem. :D

Gazzaniga/Davis (depending on Boruc's fitness for Arsenal)

------------

Chambers/Clyne (whoever's not first choice for Arsenal)

Hooiveld

Yoshida

Fox

------------

Schneiderlin

Cork

------------

Ward-Prowse

Davis

Guly

------------

Gallagher

Subs: Gazzaniga/Davis, Clyne/Chambers, Fonte, Shaw, Reed, Rodriguez, Lallana.

I don't care as long as we win, I'm not even going.

He only named 7 subs (Fonte, Shaw, Lambert, Rodriguez, Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Boruc or K.Davis) and the FA Cup allows for 7.

I'm afraid that's incorrect mathew... Honestly, tut tut!

Sub fonte and shaw for fox and yoshi + resting adam after first half (3)

Bring in Lambo + JRod + Morgan for Gallagher, guly and JWP (3)

Bring in victor towards the end (1)

Whichever option of the above you chose... its 3 subs, plus victor - that's 4 substitutions? Or am i struggling with 3+1 =3?

Now....

On the subject of maths....

Following Osvaldo's headbut, inter have immediately done this... Is the deal back on with regards to the osvaldo-Guarin swap, or is this a case of 1+1 doesn't = 2??

"if we're comfy" then "rest Adam", that would then be the scenario to bring on "Victor... if poss".

So three subs for the first "comfy" scenario, he didn't say Wanyama to come on in both scenarios merely "if poss" hinting towards the comfy scenario.

Sigh... I wasn't really suggesting 7 changes, just promoting two different scenarios....

But i still endorse sneaking victor on unnoticed

Damit, I concede, thought I had you... schoolboy :mcinnes:

On a side note, what do you make of Inter pulling out of the exchange deal with Juve since osvaldo headbutted Fonte. Interesting no?

Bought mine this morning. Most of the blocks open were pretty full, for example 35 and 36 only had odd seats scattered about and a few together in the front and back rows. Bloke at ticket office said they'd been selling quickly the past few days.

Jim Lucas@Jim_SFCMedia6m

21,096 sold at last count. On sale until kick-off so I'd expect another few thousand on top of that. #saintsfc

Looking like a good turnout, guess they'll say they got it right price-wise, hopefully if we get through and draw a more attractive tie they don't hike the prices too much.

Good decision to close the corners and open as required, means there wont be swathes of empty seats behind the goals. Shame the visitors didn't request the full allocation earlier which would have added to the day.

Most players are quite capable of playing twice a week, I don't know why some on here panic so much.
