Plenty of football clubs are in for a nasty surprise next year IMO , as the worst recession in 70 years bites and more fans start to lose their jobs (or start fearing the loss of their jobs) the expensive annual Season Ticket will be the first thing to go for many .

Couple that with SFC probably looking relegation right in the face and likely loss of our last few quality players such as Surman/Lallana ...etc and I reckon ST renewals could drop drastically - down to 5/6k maybe .

As for my personal decision I'll probably just pay for the Saturday 3pm matches I want to actually go to - Saints v Hartlepool on a freezing Tuesday night in February just doesn't appeal anymore .

Not bothering next year, theres no fun in it any more. Membership for me.

Same for me. I also cant justify paying out all that having an ST means (matchday costs etc) which i reckon is about £2500 only to leave the ground totally depressed EVERY week. Shame but there you go.

If Wilde/Lowe are still around then not a hope in hell. Its going to hurt badly, but hopefully it won't be as painful as watching the club I have supprted for over 30 years ripped apart by these two ****wits.

An unequivocal yes for both my tickets. In fact my wife has become so passionate about the club and supporting the youth I may buy extra season tickets so the whole family can come along. I would even be willing to accept a small increase in prices if it aided the future of the club and kept the doom merchants in their joyless existence.

The answer is probably yes but if its division 2 with or without administration and with Lowe still there I would hae to think hard beforehand. As usual the early bird will be chirping well before season end.

Subject to price and no increase in the season ticket cost, because I dont believe you can give **** service and expect to put the prices up, who would the club think they are Southern Rail.

All of above and if we are in the championship,if we are relegated,

which is looking very possible. i will not but just pick when i go.

For me it will depend on a few things.

A-Whos left in the team.

B-What league we are in.

C-How many of my friends will renew,as lately i enjoy the social side more than the football.

D-What price the club will charge.

No because I just dont enjoy it anymore - I have been going since 1963 and had a season ticket for years.

But this year I get angrier every week because its just so bloody frustrating watching a side who are giving their all but are being let down off the pitch.

A manager that constantly makes the wrong team selections and tactics at home 1 win all season.

A board that is all about egos..why appoint 2 untried managers in this country for one of the most important seasons in the clubs history. All the decent players out on loan yet we bring in 5 players who can't or are so bad will not get picked wasting agent and loans fees as well as wages that could of kept us a proven goalscorer here.

I cannot justify £500 next season on something that is now a chore to do rather than a pleasure. I will still go to games as its in the blood and continue to watch the kids in reserve games but my 2 ST will not be renewed.

Agree 100% with "Give it to Ron". I have been a season ticket holder with my young son for many years now and it has come to the point where he just does not enjoy it anymore. He is 15 now - l feel sorry for the younger kids who have just seen one win all season at home and that was against 10 men.

Yes.

Don't know what I'd do at 3pm on a Saturday otherwise!

Well if you're like me, most weeks, you'd be sitting at home whingeing about the number of games that are now on sundays, mondays, saturday evenings, etc ;-)

But I will be renewing season tickets. I'm a fan. That's what fans do.

I must admit it is goung to be a tough one this time around after over 20 years as a ST holder. I mentioned it to the wife over the weekend, her reply was you said that last season but still renewed it will be the same this time around.
