Smirking_Saint Posted 16 January, 2014 Share Posted 16 January, 2014 Well Nicola is not in charge anymore so that may change. It may not have just been nicola. They have never been very public and certainly the family are very very private. I agree though, they need to clarify things

I agree though, they need to clarify things If they say nothing now till the summer that will be a great shame and will just cause uncertainty. The Kraken Posted 16 January, 2014 Share Posted 16 January, 2014 Surprising news, everyone in the national press was adamant he'd be leaving. Oops. Quite a few wet blankets on here were convinced of the same.
fez Posted 16 January, 2014 Share Posted 16 January, 2014 We can analyse and re-analyse but at the moment MP does not know whether he'll stay beyond the summer and nor does KL. there are so many uncertainties....
S-Clarke Posted 16 January, 2014 Share Posted 16 January, 2014 If they say nothing now till the summer that will be a great shame and will just cause uncertainty. I think they need to get someone into the position, and then make an announcement on their intentions and plans.

Winchester Red Posted 16 January, 2014 Share Posted 16 January, 2014 How many clubs can be certain that their current manager will still be in post at the start of next season ? Not many! 1 year is the average time a manager lasts!!!
Ohio Saint Posted 16 January, 2014 Share Posted 16 January, 2014 Our most pressing concern now is the potential sale of the club. This is going to be a tense time for however long it lasts.
manji Posted 16 January, 2014 Share Posted 16 January, 2014 Cmon think how bad we all felt last night. Not so bad at all now.and Wanyamas back in training. A Nut Can Cut You Posted 16 January, 2014 Share Posted 16 January, 2014 A question that the NEW owner needs to answer!? He corrected himself quickly....... Was that an unintended slip? He didn't correct himself, he corrected the interpreter who added the word 'new' that wasn't there in Spanish (MP only said "propiedad", which means ownership). The interpreter had some details a little off here and there, so I wouldn't start reading between the lines. For example, Pochettino said no one should think that the players are for sale because that isn't the case, he did not emphatically say "no one is for sale". "De todas maneras, que nadie se piense que los jugadores están de oferta en Southampton... (chuckles) que nadie lo piense, que no es así." That means, "Anyway, no one ought to think that the players are for sale in Southampton... no one should think that, it's not the case". The interpreter probably only wrote down 'no one' and 'for sale', and when he got to that part of his interpretation he didn't remember what Pochettino had actually said. Pochettino is an excellent actor if he didn't tell the truth about being taken completely by surprise by Cortese's exit. I thought everything he said and especially how he said it was very convincing and credible.

ART Posted 16 January, 2014 Share Posted 16 January, 2014 ..................................... Pochettino is an excellent actor if he didn't tell the truth about being taken completely by surprise by Cortese's exit. I thought everything he said and especially how he said it was very convincing and credible. Who's to tell that Cortese wasn't offered a new job during his vacation and broke the news on returning. He may have given pre-warning months ago he would decide on his acceptance or otherwise of Katharina's conditions in the New Year.
