Hatch Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 RIP Trigger Del: We had Denzil in goal, we had Monkey Harris at right-back, we had...we had camaraderie. Trigger: Was that the Italian boy
trousers Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 "We have an old saying that's been handed down by generations of road sweepers: 'Look after your broom..." RIP
SNSUN Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 I like Only Fools, I like Vicar Of Dibley. Owen Newitt was as good a character as Trigger. Sad news, he was so close to 70 too. RIP.
Simples Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 Sad news and too young to leave us. May he rest in peace with his 17 new heads and 14 new handles.
warsash saint Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 Trigger: If it's a girl they're gonna name it Sigourney, after the actress. And if it's a boy they're gonna name him Rodney, after Dave. RIP
skintsaint Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 RIP [video=youtube_share;3O8SgaDOock]http://youtu.be/3O8SgaDOock
Bearsy Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 21yo bird in office had no idea when I said trigger, she googled him and went, OMG! Barty Crouch! kids of today innit.
JackFrost Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 The one I remember is when Trigger's telling that story about a woman he worked with asking him "Fancy spending a weekend at this hotel?". He then reveals that he thought the weekend went great but she didn't want to see him ever again after it. When Del asks him why he says "Later I heard through friends, that she'd wanted to go with me"
Turkish Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 (edited) This broom has had 17 new heads and 20 new handles RIP Trig. A true comedy genius. This crack me up no matter how many times i see it the funniest thing ever, Triggers reaction to Delboy falling over Edited 16 January, 2014 by Turkish
SNSUN Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 21yo bird in office had no idea when I said trigger, she googled him and went, OMG! Barty Crouch! kids of today innit. There's a flagrant absence of Rule 1 here....
Fowllyd Posted 16 January, 2014 Posted 16 January, 2014 Great clips, Turks - a reminder of just how good he was. Nobody else could have played Trigger so well. He was excellent in many other roles, and very varied ones at that, but to so many of us he'll always be remembered as Trig. RIP RLP.
whelk Posted 19 January, 2014 Posted 19 January, 2014 Spurs fans today singing 'he only had one broom' . Brilliant
Ohio Saint Posted 19 January, 2014 Posted 19 January, 2014 My missus (American) just loved him in the vicar of Dibley, and was quite upset when I told her about his death. I showed her some youtube clips featuring Trigger, and she absolutely got it straight away, which is not that easy with Americans and such localised comedy as Only Fools and Horses. She was immediately as taken with the Trigger character as she was with his Dibley character. I see an Only Fools and Horses DVD collection in next years Xmas stocking. Thanks Trigger!!! You will be missed.
Crazy Diamond Posted 19 January, 2014 Posted 19 January, 2014 Also Mendel in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
