berkshiresaint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 People slagging KL off need to stop bed wetting and think about the possibility that she has better plans for the club than NC had. Slagging her of for this will only be bad for our club
Turkish Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 what's this about luke Shaws old man? Read a couple of posts about this.
hypochondriac Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 what's this about luke Shaws old man? Read a couple of posts about this. Put on Twitter how disappointed at the club he is.
Hockey_saint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Didn't Nicola say that if the Liebherr's wern't interested he had other contacts?...well, clearly they are and from the statement it seems as if, to her at least, this is just a change in managerial position...similar in a way to Andy Oldknow.
SB Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Most likely KL wasn't interested in Corteses champions league plans and doesn't have interest in the club, vision etc..
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Reports suggest she wants to sell the club.
Alejam Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If he is part of a consortium to buy the club from KL then he would need to resign as it would be a conflict of interest to negotiate a deal while still chairman
pimpin4rizeal Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If he is part of a consortium to buy the club from KL then he would need to resign as it would be a conflict of interest to negotiate a deal while still chairman This i like Nice gaston avatar btw
Saint Fan CaM Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If he is part of a consortium to buy the club from KL then he would need to resign as it would be a conflict of interest to negotiate a deal while still chairman Indeed. Likely though?
BARCELONASAINT Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I cannot believe for one moment she has any interest in SFC and why would she? It was her fathers play thing and i bet she thought he was barking when he bought us. I strongly suspect she has just been waiting for the right time to make her move and sell the club.....and she won't care who she sell to so long as she gets her price....if i sound ****ed off then you are right...i am!
The Kraken Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Reports suggest she wants to sell the club. Reports suggest she has also turned down various offers for the club. When pretty much all leaks coming out of the club are from the disgruntled employee who has just walked out of the door for the final time and is aiming a parting shot across the bows, everything is to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Pastor Patrón Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I would certainly hope Katarina will put out some sort of statement of intent as to her plans in the short and long term. It's nothing to her and is only good manners to the fans
S-Clarke Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I would certainly hope Katarina will put out some sort of statement of intent as to her plans in the short and long term. It's nothing to her and is only good manners to the fans Best thing would be to let the dust settle on this. They've released a statement clarifying things for now, which is what was needed. The next time to speak will be the appointment of a new chairman. At that point I would expect to see clear signals as to what the intentions are.
trousers Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If he is part of a consortium to buy the club from KL then he would need to resign as it would be a conflict of interest to negotiate a deal while still chairman A conspiracy theorist might expand this hypothesis to suggest that Katharina and Cortese have engineered today's events between them as its always been her intention to sell the club to him and his backer(s)....

I've no idea if true. But I cannot see NC walking away for good like that.
CB Fry Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 As long as any potential new Chairmen are fully approved by Luke Shaw's old man. Heaven forbid we upset his highness again.
Saint Garrett Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Cortese wants to win the league with the club, atleast the champions league. Katrina wants to sell the club. Fecking vrilliant
Sold To The Man @ The Bar Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If he is part of a consortium to buy the club from KL then he would need to resign as it would be a conflict of interest to negotiate a deal while still chairman Hadn't though of that !!! ;0)
Roger Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Cortese wants to win the league with the club, atleast the champions league. Katrina wants to sell the club. Fecking vrilliant You don't know that. Give them a chance ffs!
Raging Bull Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 As long as any potential new Chairmen are fully approved by Luke Shaw's old man. Heaven forbid we upset his highness again. Has my precious's dad actually said why he's not a happy bunny? 150k P/W at City got anything to do with it?
JonnyLove Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Tell Luke Shaw's old man that. I would of thought that Luke shaw would be following his dad on twitter are you sure it's his dad?? I other words back it up with a source / link or STFU Also on another story have you see who luke is following, likes is cam girls that boy, proper babe station follower

JonnyLove Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 so a link won't be hard to post then will it
Saint Garrett Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 You don't know that. Give them a chance ffs! I will give them a chance, of course. But the stability has got us to where we are, along with Cortese's drive and ambition. She doesn't even like football hence her having no interest on it since Markus passed away.
Saint Garrett Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 so a link won't be hard to post then will it Just the other day.... @LukeShaw3: Happy birthday to my dad @paul_shaw3 hope you have had a good day today! ?❤️
S-Clarke Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I will give them a chance, of course. But the stability has got us to where we are, along with Cortese's drive and ambition. She doesn't even like football hence her having no interest on it since Markus passed away. To be honest, a lot of what is being said tonight is being said emotionally and at the heat of the moment. Exactly the same happened when Adkins was sacked. It's easy to just fly off because it's frustrating news. People were saying identical stuff when Adkins was sacked ''We'll now be relegated'' ''We're a laughing stock'' ''The 5 years progress has been wiped out'' ''We have no stability'' etc. At the end of the day, it was the right call and we're now in a better position than we ever where. I think the Liebherr's deserve a bit of time before we all jump off a cliff and assume the worst. Let's just wait and see.
Nolan Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 A year ago we were saying the same thing but a step down the ladder. We thought Adkins going was the end of the world. No one can predict the future, we can just support the Saints.
JonnyLove Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Just the other day.... @LukeShaw3: Happy birthday to my dad @paul_shaw3 hope you have had a good day today! ❤️ There is no tweet from him saying anything bad, disappointed but nothing life changing. FFS over reaction

Alejam Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Hadn't though of that !!! ;0) Well just a thought after his quotes a year or so ago.
melmacian_saint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Following the trend, I expect the club to be sold in January 2014. Mid-January blues just don't happen at SMS!
Batman Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 She is the worst possible person to take over? A foreign bird who hates football. Brilliant
OldNick Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 As long as any potential new Chairmen are fully approved by Luke Shaw's old man. Heaven forbid we upset his highness again. Lol

Best few years I've ever had supporting saints under Cortese.
S-Clarke Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Fair point just hugely frustrated. Things were going so well. Best few years I've ever had supporting saints under Cortese. Totally agree, It's been a hell of a ride. But let's be honest, we're not really in that bad a position. It's not like our owners have left and put us in admin or anything that drastic. The vision may be gone for now, but the club is still here in the top 10 of the PL.
Pancake Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 She is the worst possible person to take over? A foreign bird who hates football. Brilliant A forrin and a bird? Farking hell mush, wot a farking mess this is. Oh la la Di da! Whatever next, maybe a farking rag 'ed or a darkie!
doubleonothing Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Here is what Luke Shaw's dad has tweeted. Make your minds up if it supports your own individual arguments. @paul_shaw3: So disappointed with Southampton fc owners..... @paul_shaw3: “@ReganAtk: @paul_shaw3 Why? A Chairman isn't the football club. The players, staff and fans are.”not many have his vision. @paul_shaw3: @TractorSaint we have been at saints for 10 years and seen a lot so yes I can have a opinion.... @paul_shaw3: “@SimonPeach: Fantastic day wandering around Munich. Did I miss much while I was away?”no mate very quiet here!!!!! @paul_shaw3: “@SaintsFCFanZone: @paul_shaw3 it's football!”so it is and that's why we r all so passionate...
Toadhall Saint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 She is the worst possible person to take over? A foreign bird who hates football. Brilliant You don't have to love football to be good at running a football club. When emotion takes over objectivity, perspective and rational thinking flies out the window.
Batman Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 You don't have to love football to be good at running a football club. When emotion takes over objectivity, perspective and rational thinking flies out the window. If this was any other club. You would laughing your balls off
Toadhall Saint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If this was any other club. You would laughing your balls off Really - your love of football doesn't go that far it would seem.
JoeShmoe Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 A forrin and a bird? Farking hell mush, wot a farking mess this is. Oh la la Di da! Whatever next, maybe a farking rag 'ed or a darkie! He's gone all Danny Dyer, farkin NAWTY
Glasgow_Saint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 KL has obviously decided that Nicola has taken us as far as he can, lets get someone in with decent football contacts and capable of taking us to the next level
CB Fry Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Anyone heard any thoughts from Dan Harding's father in law?
CB Saint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If he is part of a consortium to buy the club from KL then he would need to resign as it would be a conflict of interest to negotiate a deal while still chairman Not necessarily. It is common practice to sell a business to a incumbent management. No need for resignations.
Saint_clark Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If this was any other club. You would laughing your balls off No I wouldn't. I probably wouldn't care. Chairman come and go fairly regularly. Let's be honest, it's clear from the tone of that article that Cortese isn't resigning to buy the club.
aintforever Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If this was any other club. You would laughing your balls off When was the last time you laughed your balls off (or even noticed) when a chairman of another club left? Portsmouth doesn't count.
The Kraken Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If this was any other club. You would laughing your balls off True story this. Take the case of John Fenty at Grimsby. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/14979772 Now when he resigned, back in 2011, I started laughing. I haven't stopped since. Christ, I'm off again
Hockey_saint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 He's gone all Danny Dyer, farkin NAWTY To be fair, that doesn't work any more since he's been in 'Enders...he's walking around the square like a dog thats just had his nuts chopped off #notright
