Saintandy666 Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Usually prepare at the training ground though surely? I don't think any of us have any idea to be honest. I imagine that sometime during the week it is not unusual whatsoever for Pochettino to be at St. Mary's!
Scoobysaint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Sky sports are live at St Marys and haven't mentioned any bugger turning up. Personally I am hoping that Nicola can rustle up some of his mafia buds and buy the club from the Liebherrs. They get their cash, he gets the club, we keep our don!
JoeShmoe Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Joe Batchelor @Joe_Batchelor Would guess that Pochettino and staff are currently in meeting with Cortese to decide future.
angelman Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Seems remarkably similar to the situation during the summer now. Guess it's just a case of wait and see again. Yes it does. But we can't have this every time a disagreement happens. In the summer there might have been some brinkmanship involved, but I'm not sure you can do that twice, we aren't in the playground.
James Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Usually prepare at the training ground though surely? Not always. They could be at SMS for any number of reasons but as there is all this speculation then they can't possibly be any other explanation other than that they are going for a meeting with NC about his impending resignation.....
jasonb Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Just listening to this TalkSport station as people said we are the hot topic and my god... this DJ who is on now.. Adrian? Basically he's begging people to call up AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE!! have a natter with him, offer some views AND THEN he will dismiss everything the caller has just said and spout his own total waffle. Two questions: a) why is this moron employed and b) what possess people to call in and be waffled at AND CHARGED for the privilege. I don't get it. Inane to say the absolute least.
Colinjb Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Joe Batchelor @Joe_Batchelor Would guess that Pochettino and staff are currently in meeting with Cortese to decide future. Aren't we all......
James Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Joe Batchelor @Joe_Batchelor Would guess that Pochettino and staff are currently in meeting with Cortese to decide future. Who is this guy? I'd be willing to bet that he has absolutely nothing to base that on...no doubt this guys ramblings will be reported as 'fact' by SSN in the next few minutes. Honestly, no wonder there is a sense of hysteria around the place every time there is a negative news report...
Bobbyboy Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If MoPo does go, presumably he'd take his peeps with him. Who would be in temp charge - Jason Dodd maybe? How far down the chain would we have to go? Apologies if the answer is obvious, just wondering.
RonManager Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Not always. They could be at SMS for any number of reasons but as there is all this speculation then they can't possibly be any other explanation other than that they are going for a meeting with NC about his impending resignation..... They were all (bar NC) spotted arriving at Staplewood about an hour ago by some lads 'staked out' there. Guess they have gone from there to SMS to meet NC.
hypochondriac Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 We will see. I think you will be disappointed. Nope. Some players may go but they won't all immediately hand in transfer requests that's ridiculous.
Stu Man Do Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Who is this guy? Honestly, no wonder there is a sense of hysteria around the place every time there is a negative news report... Almost as bad as that Alex Crook guy. What a poor standard of journalism there is about nowadays! "I assume this" , "My source tells me that". Just report the facts chaps , we're all capable of having a guess!

Saint Charlie Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Ha, Lowe pretending he was some kind of visionary. Says no real interest in coming back...thank God.

Bewildered Posted 15 January, 2014 Author Posted 15 January, 2014 His main contribution at Liverpool was negotiating the clubs sales I believe, a very brief tenure. from wikipedia A season ticket holder of Liverpool, he was appointed managing director in June 2009, with a priority to renegotiate the £350m loan the club had outstanding with RBS and to assume overall management of the club until a new permanent CEO could be appointed.[3][4] Three months into his tenure, a team headed by Purslow negotiated an £80 million 4 year shirt sponsorship deal with Standard Chartered Bank.[5] On 6 October 2010, Purslow voted in favour of the sale of the club from the unpopular then-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett to the NESV group. In response to this, Hicks tried to block the sale by removing Purslow and Ian Ayre from the board and installing his son, Mack, and his business associate Lori McCutcheon to the board. On 13 October 2010, at a hearing in the High Court in London, Mr Justice Floyd held that Hicks’ actions were unlawful and in breach of the agreement he had signed with RBS.[6] Floyd’s judgment allowed the sale to proceed and, on 15 October 2010, NESV finally completed its £300m takeover of Liverpool in a deal which drastically reduced the club’s debt to RBS.[7] Having completed his brief by finding a buyer, Purslow stepped down on 20 October 2010 after NESV assumed control of the club.[8] He remained as a non-executive director and special adviser until February 2011.[9][10] Following the sale Hicks and Gillett pursued legal action, however, settlement was reached in January 2013 with Hicks and Gillett withdrawing all allegations made against Purslow and fellow directors Broughton and Ayre
Saint Charlie Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 To be fair, he has bigged up the current regime and the team.

Crowds Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Lowe on talksport he can't help drop his name and what he did... Coaching structure, stadium, youth... Although pretty diplomatic and giving recognition to Cortese/Poch etc
norwaysaint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Have to love listening to Lowe. He's just repeatedly taken full credit for our success.
mcjwills Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Schneiderlin just said all the players would be considering their positions if Cortese left. Why he will play in midfield as normal ?
Batman Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Lowe on talksport he can't help drop his name and what he did... Coaching structure, stadium, youth... Although pretty diplomatic and giving recognition to Cortese/Poch etc To be fair. He is part of what we have now. And much of the bad before that, mind
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Jebus, what a bellend Rupes is. Careful don't upset manji
Ohio Saint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 To be fair. He is part of what we have now. And much of the bad before that, mind I agree.....His own perspective is somewhat "personalised" though.
Ohio Saint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 NC has NOT handed in his resignation then? (Premature reports)
yorkiesaint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I don't know why Cortese's throwing his toys out of his pram really- his 5 years are up. Presumably he has begged for time to find investors but he either has none, or he a Katerina disagree as to the value of the club.
Saint Billy Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Missed the two straight promotions, did you? Missing the point are we!. Where on earth did you read me stating that we have been unsuccessful.
Charlie Wayman Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 If the Liebherr's won't sell then Cortese would appear to be on his way, if they do sell then Cortese may stay if he can persuade the Sunseeker crew to take over. That would work best for us. But how can he concentrate on finding a replacement for Poch with all this going on in the background :-)
rickylambert Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I've just turned my computer on and I'm very confused. where is MP now?
farawaysaint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Purslow sounds like a decent replacement to be fair, Harvard MBA and all
dubai_phil Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I can't do this every year. I'm sure that's what your wife said last time you.......
ART Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I feel physically sick ! I'm afraid it's written in the Stars that Lowe will one day return. His destiny lies in Southampton Football Club.
tttdcs Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I don't know why Cortese's throwing his toys out of his pram really- his 5 years are up. Presumably he has begged for time to find investors but he either has none, or he a Katerina disagree as to the value of the club. "5 years are up" and holiday with the family, where they reminded him of the fact?
DT Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I wonder if it's arguing about the bonus Cortese was 'promised' if he got certain things (was it European football) in five years? Seem to recall there was something about £4m *worries about poor memory*
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Shall we all just calm down and wait for something official...? Or just carry on speculating ourselves into a frenzy...? If anyone has anything "real" ie club statements, new NC interviews, MP interviews please post the links/videos etc...
Ohio Saint Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 I'm sure that's what your wife said last time you....... Asked if I fancied going Italian?
Wilko Posted 15 January, 2014 Posted 15 January, 2014 Wasn't this all entirely predictable? Surely we're lucky the Liebherrs have stuck with us this long.
