Old Ipod help needed please

Hi all

My wife found her old Ipod nano (3rd generation) and we found a lot of tunes on there that weren't purchased from ITunes having been transferred from CDs we no longer have , is there any way I can easily transfer these songs onto our laptop ? Many thanks in advance for any help or solutions !

Useful to know. Like I said, been years since I've done similar so good to hear of something that can do the job.
