Dalek2003 Posted 4 January, 2014 Posted 4 January, 2014 Back to the real business. We desperately need 3 points or we will be sliding into the scrap zone.
Dr Who? Posted 4 January, 2014 Posted 4 January, 2014 3 points on the cards and back to winning ways. Lose and i will start to glance (only glance) downwards, when it has been all up the table! We will win though!
Turkish Posted 4 January, 2014 Posted 4 January, 2014 If WBA could hold off appointing a manager this week that would be much appreciated.
RonManager Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 First double of the season coming up. We will SMASH them.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 It would be rather nice to have Boruc and Wanyama back for this one. Don't know if there's any chance...
igsey Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Not much of a better time to play WBA, unless they manage to get some master tactician before then. Reckon we'll batter them.
Matthew Le God Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Downing is unbeaten in the league, maybe a new manger would actually be better for us.
ericofarabia Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Lets hope they don't get Lukaku in on loan before the game!! They were one of the few teams that tore us a new one last year, pay back time please .... at least 3-0.
skintsaint Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 They looked pretty average yesterday, can see us winning 3-1.
DuncanRG Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 We handled them really well at their place. Same levels of organisation and we should win. Wanyama would have been very useful though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
eelpie Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 What's our average goals conceded over the last ten matches? 3? and our average goals for? Whatever, that will be the result.
St.Patrik Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 I will fly over for this game taking oldest daughter with me : ) she want to get autographs a take pics of the players before the game so could someone please advice what time the players arrive at St.Marys.
nta786 Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 I will fly over for this game taking oldest daughter with me : ) she want to get autographs a take pics of the players before the game so could someone please advice what time the players arrive at St.Marys. The players arrive at around 11:30 to 12am! Ideally, a game we should be winning. Would like to see the strongest possible side out, and Clyne back, as well as the usual Fonte, Lovren, Shaw, Cork, Schneiderlin, Lallana, ( Davis or JWP), J Rod, Lambert.... Is Boruc going to be back for this game? If so, then him too This is a game we should be looking to win as they're also out of form and managerless, and hopefully a win after this game should up the confidence and morale of out lads... Plus, we lost 3-0 at home in this fixture last season- that needs fixing!
View From The Top Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 I'm using Corky Morris's STs and taking my youngest (6) to her first game; Mrs is coming too!
Saint Garrett Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Ideally..... Boruc; Clyne Fonte Lovren Shaw; Cork Schneiderlin; Lallana Rodriguez Davis; Lambert. Wanyama in for Cork if available. Personally think JWP has been very poor the last month. Team pretty much picks itself as we are rather short on options at the moment. Bench of: Davis; Chambers Yoshi; JWP Gaston Guly; Gallagher
ottery st mary Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Hoping Saints can get a win with a good 3-0 or even 4-0 scoreline. At least a win....pleeeese.
Olallana Posted 6 January, 2014 Posted 6 January, 2014 Doomed. Premier League @premierleague 23m Howard Webb has been appointed referee for Southampton v West Brom on Saturday 11 January #SOUWBA
surrey1saint Posted 6 January, 2014 Posted 6 January, 2014 Doomed. Premier League @premierleague 23m Howard Webb has been appointed referee for Southampton v West Brom on Saturday 11 January #SOUWBA Not a good appointment going by his history with us....need to overturn the bad record 3-1 Saints.
ericofarabia Posted 6 January, 2014 Posted 6 January, 2014 I'm using Corky Morris's STs and taking my youngest (6) to her first game; Mrs is coming too! Hope you have something to celebrate together!!
BlakeySFC Posted 6 January, 2014 Posted 6 January, 2014 Just heard Webb's been appointed this game, draw at best now I reckon.
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 6 January, 2014 Posted 6 January, 2014 If Boruc isn't back for this game I'd be a little worried.
Strangely Brown Posted 6 January, 2014 Posted 6 January, 2014 Doomed. Premier League @premierleague 23m Howard Webb has been appointed referee for Southampton v West Brom on Saturday 11 January #SOUWBA[/ Coincidence or deliberate.......hmmmm conspiracy anyone.
Whitey Grandad Posted 6 January, 2014 Posted 6 January, 2014 Was Webb on the list of approved refs that we submitted with our letter of complaint?
shurlock Posted 6 January, 2014 Posted 6 January, 2014 Don't think we've ever won a game reffed by Webb.
DuncanRG Posted 6 January, 2014 Posted 6 January, 2014 Wait, how many referees are out to get us now?
Micky Posted 6 January, 2014 Posted 6 January, 2014 Got to stop the rot in this game. Not only do we have to win, but we need to do so bloody well. Need art least 3 goals, a clean sheet, no red or yellow cards and no injuries. Anything less will be nothing short of abject failure. We've talked the talk for too long, time to walk the walk. studentsaint Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 Do we know what happened to Lambert last game? I'd go with the team mentioned above, but if he's injured Jwp in and j rod up top.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 Wait, how many referees are out to get us now? all of them mate
Stubby Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 Do we know what happened to Lambert last game? I'd go with the team mentioned above, but if he's injured Jwp in and j rod up top. For me, Gaston is playing better than JWP at the moment.
DT Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 Have no confidence while Davis in goal. If Boruc plays I think we'll win
Saint Garrett Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 For me, Gaston is playing better than JWP at the moment. JWP was excellent at the start of the season, he has been dreadful the last month. You're always going to get inconsistency from young players though. He needs to up his game again. Definitely wouldn't start him on Saturday. Either play Ramirez or J-Rod Davis Lallana in the front 3 with Rickie up top.
jamesfp1 Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 Need a convincing win here to get us back on track. Absolutely fantastic run of fixtures coming up.
david in sweden Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 Doomed. Premier League @premierleague 23m Howard Webb has been appointed referee for Southampton v West Brom on Saturday 11 January #SOUWBA uh oh ....shall we go back to accepting Clatteburg
SaintBobby Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 I find it amazing that some people think this is a must win game.
david in sweden Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 For me, Gaston is playing better than JWP at the moment. I think I'd have to agree with that, ATM..... except that Gaston can't seem to manage more than 60 minutes-a-game.
USA SaintsFan Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 webb reffed us in the norwich game we lost. remember there being a blatant handball in the box by one of their players that wasn't called.
USA SaintsFan Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 http://www.soccerbase.com/referees/referee.sd?referee_id=434&season_id=142 also reffed losses for us against city, sunderland, and qpr last year. overall record with mark clattenburg or howard webb reffing in the last two seasons: 0 wins, 4 draws, 7 losses. interesting...
shurlock Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 webb reffed us in the norwich game we lost. remember there being a blatant handball in the box by one of their players that wasn't called. Yep- that handball was worse than the one against Everton.
TK8267 Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 I'd feel alot more confident knowing this was in goal.
Window Cleaner Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 Is that true? Worrying statistic. Not sure whose idea the complaints were, and I understand the frustrations, but can't help but feel we've put ourselves against the refs now. They'll stick together, and we'll be less likely to get decisions. Seems dangerous. Bit of a trend developping there, perhaps it's just us who think that we should get decisions that we shouldn't in fact get. We've had decisions go for us that should have gone the other way as well.
mitch01 Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 I'd feel alot more confident knowing this was in goal. I remember when his name was mud around here.
Toadhall Saint Posted 7 January, 2014 Posted 7 January, 2014 I remember when his name was mud around here. If there's a bandwagon this place will jump on it (me included sometimes).
