Glasgow_Saint Posted 4 January, 2014 Author Posted 4 January, 2014 Just great times! Memories..... Ahhh
Greenridge Posted 4 January, 2014 Posted 4 January, 2014 Love that! Taken from the Carlisle end.......by Glasgow?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 4 January, 2014 Author Posted 4 January, 2014 What date is the final this year? The 2013-14 FA Cup Final will take place on Saturday 17 May, a week after the Premier League season has concluded.
Simples Posted 4 January, 2014 Posted 4 January, 2014 The 2013-14 FA Cup Final will take place on Saturday 17 May, a week after the Premier League season has concluded. Thanks Glasgow. I'm already booked in to work that day, so hopefully a good omen for the Saints!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 4 January, 2014 Author Posted 4 January, 2014 Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, we're going to Wembley, que sera sera
Barry Sanchez Posted 4 January, 2014 Posted 4 January, 2014 Would rather finish 8th in the Premiership.....................
Saint Without a Halo Posted 4 January, 2014 Posted 4 January, 2014 Would rather finish 8th in the Premiership..................... didn't realise it was one or the other! how about 8th and the Cup final lets be greedy
Barry Sanchez Posted 4 January, 2014 Posted 4 January, 2014 didn't realise it was one or the other! how about 8th and the Cup final lets be greedy I would rather we finished 17th and won the Cup, there is an argument for myself I would rather we were relegated and won the Cup as well.
shurlock Posted 4 January, 2014 Posted 4 January, 2014 (edited) Is this the "thinking" mboarder's man walked on the moon thread? Edited 4 January, 2014 by shurlock
Dr Who? Posted 4 January, 2014 Posted 4 January, 2014 Well we are one step closer. Not an animal related team today though
Glasgow_Saint Posted 5 January, 2014 Author Posted 5 January, 2014 Well we are one step closer. Not an animal related team today though Great draw today too. think this is our year
Dark Munster Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 I would rather we finished 17th and won the Cup, there is an argument for myself I would rather we were relegated and won the Cup as well. Tough one that, I think I'd take it, but it could cost MP his job. An interesting poll would be to choose from 17th and the cup vs. 6th and no cup. I would rather we finished 17th and won the Cup, there is an argument for myself I would rather we were relegated and won the Cup as well. No way for me!
saint lard Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 The confidence of us going to the final,on this thread and others is quite substantial, why? however much I would like to recreate our last visit........I find it quite a long shot. you never know though, here's hoping.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 5 January, 2014 Author Posted 5 January, 2014 Saints are now 14/1 to win FA Cup 6th favourites
Barry Sanchez Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Tough one that, I think I'd take it, but it could cost MP his job. An interesting poll would be to choose from 17th and the cup vs. 6th and no cup. No way for me! We can always come back up but they can never take the Cup away, I work woth a Wigan fan and he would not change anything, seeing his reaction and the European games with the memories sound amazing.
Barry Sanchez Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, we're going to Wembley, que sera sera Some fans on here dont care about the cup only the league, sad state of affairs that.
trousers Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Some fans on here dont care about the cup Name and shame bro
Barry Sanchez Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Name and shame bro The reaction after the Sunderland said it all, the league comes first, I would rather we went for Europe through the League (chuckle).
SuperMikey Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Seriously, what the f*ck is wrong with people on here?
aintforever Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 It's great that the club look like they are taking the FA Cup seriously. If we can get our key players fit we will be a good outside bet. Our full strength side is a match for anyone on their day and the big clubs will prioritise their European fixtures later on.
Turkish Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Should we win the FA Cup who will be the player that puts the lid on his head in time honoured tradition? My money is on Wanyama.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Should we win the FA Cup who will be the player that puts the lid on his head in time honoured tradition? My money is on Wanyama. Rickie. He has a pretty flat head, it can go on there. Artur would be the one drinking Budweiser out of it.
Dark Munster Posted 5 January, 2014 Posted 5 January, 2014 Name and shame bro For me, the FA Cup lost its way years ago, the PL is by far the most prestigious club competition and the one every club wants to be in. The FA Cup is a shadow of its former self, and I personally couldn't give two ****s if we beat Burnley or not later today.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 6 January, 2014 Author Posted 6 January, 2014 Mopo is taking it serious..... This is our year!!! Back us while odds still ok http://www.thefa.com//news/the-fa-cup/2014/jan/mauricio-pochettino-facup-aims-060114?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 22 January, 2014 Author Posted 22 January, 2014 Come on Saints this is our year WIFN
Saint Lindford Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 Omens are there, City in the League Cup Final. Last that happened they won it in 1976 and I wonder who won the FA Cup that year? :-)
SNSUN Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 Sunderland are going to Wembley! What an absolute joke Man Utd have become. Edit: Spoke too soon. Great end to this game...
angelman Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 Am a bit divided here. Don't like Sunderland particularly nor Man Utd. I am enjoying the turmoil all those glory hunters must be going through this season and a little more would be nice. Can't see Man City being beaten by either of these guys.
SNSUN Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 either team will get a smashing by city Agreed. While City were huge favourites against Wigan in the FA Cup final last season, they're a different prospect now. United are a shadow of their former selves. Glory supporters of the last 20 years must be going through a difficult time. Their "name" in world football is what will save them long term.
angelman Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 Great finish....came in from having my motor mended, Man U were going through and in the space of the next 5 minutes, we have had all possibilities. On balance would prefer Sunderland to go through.
SNSUN Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 Terrible penalties so far. Welbeck and Gardner have done "Puncheons"!
SNSUN Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 And that. Terrible from Fletcher. Not that Fletcher though...
SNSUN Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 My nan could take better penalties than this lot, and she's been dead for 11 years.
Batman Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 awful englands players, awful jones and welbeck LOL
angelman Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 **** me I haven't seen such poor penalties in my life
SNSUN Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 Now Phil Jones smashes it over the bar. Him and Welbeck taking penalties for England in the summer doesn't fill me with confidence.
SNSUN Posted 22 January, 2014 Posted 22 January, 2014 Sunderland are going to Wembley. Who'd have thought it after their start to the season. Poyet has done a sterling job there. (Although they could still go down.)
