WGC Saint Posted 16 December, 2008 Share Posted 16 December, 2008 Thoroughly looking forward to Saturday. I haven't been to SMS since the Barnsley game, so hoping for a much better performance than that and please, please, please 3 points. Lose this one and we're in the poo. Win and we're able to tread water a bit longer!! Keep the faith.......COYR's
eelpie Posted 16 December, 2008 Share Posted 16 December, 2008 I am. (But not without forebodings. But then, perhaps this will be the match when DMG scores and the kids lose their fear of playing at St Mary's) I reckon the Forest fans are looking forward to the match)

West End Saint Posted 16 December, 2008 Share Posted 16 December, 2008 I am really looking forward to it you have to hope the players realise that it is a massively important game for some reason I think we are gonna come out and have a right go and dare I say I think we might win. I really enjoyed the last home game I thought it was a good game of football disapointed with the result but thought we played well 1st half. Can't wait for Saturday COYR ! Mowgli Posted 17 December, 2008 Share Posted 17 December, 2008 It's Christmas. With such a big crowd it's an opportunity just for 90 minutes to forget about Lowe, True Fans, Wilde, Stayaway fans, Crouch, takovers, credit crunches and SKY TV. Just remember football how it used to be. A good afternoon out, everyone cheering the team on and, so long as they put the effort in, eveyone goes home happy irrespective of the result.... ........COYR!!! Saintsnodisbelieving Posted 18 December, 2008 Share Posted 18 December, 2008 SAINTS 6/5 DRAW 12/5 FOREST 11/4 Looking through the odds, as I do from week to week, there is one definite shortening odd. That is for Surman to score in 90 mins When I first publicised it, you could get 8/1 or as much as 10/1 for him to score in 90 mins, and now for the game against Forest this weekend, the best you will find is 9/2. This weekend could be one of the defining moments of the season, losing itself will not drop us into the relegation zone, as we are 4 pts ahead. But we should not be complacent. A victory could give Saints a 7pt cushion over the Christmas break and help to keep up with the rest of the teams, as they pull away from relegation. So this game could be very open, as Forest want to win, as to catch up with Saints, and Saints want to win as to get that 7point gap. So there is every chance of a goal fest, and you might not go wrong with betting on a BWP hat trick, the odds are 100/1 and if he gets his eye in once he normally gets another, whether he has the stamina to get the three, we are to see, but I think it could be an interesting bet, and with the odds so high (yes they are high for a reason, you say), you could get a good return. Would make a Merry start for the Christmas http://saintsnodisbelieving.blogspot.com/
mprobert Posted 18 December, 2008 Share Posted 18 December, 2008 Interesting to see on the Echo website that bizarrely the average age of the Forest team is likely to be below ours - lets hope our older heads and experience can count!

saints-cris Posted 18 December, 2008 Share Posted 18 December, 2008 Just got my tickets for this one and am really looking forward to it. Probably one of the biggest games all season and it's going to be very nerve-wracking from start to finish. Big, big game and we have to win.
