Yep, if the players still respect MacKay they will throw everything at us after the break, if he is on his way and they are deflated we should be OK. Think it is time for Saints to remain professional, take the sting out of the game and push for another goal or two to see us safely home.

We need to score once more and then pull off the 2 four yellow carders.

Gazza's had a couple of good saves, but not faced any shots as I recall. Yoshida passing crap, but defending well.

Rickie looked to have more a grimace on his face when he scored than the joy of last year.

Gazza impeccable. Rodriguez ruthless. Lallana class. Lambert sprinted at one point. Cork and Davis not put a foot wrong. Schneiderlin everywhere. Chambers a constant threat down the right. Yoshida>Hooveld. Fonte solid. Shaw booked for no reason.

Cardiff ****..

Good summary ;)

EAsily lost my £10 bet on Cardiff to win. Chuffed to bits! :)

Yoshida is a great defender - shame he can't pass it though. I prefer him to Hooiveld by a country mile. Gazza still looks a little fragile, but so much better seeing Shaw on and giving us some width. I hope we can find a replacement for Fox soon as a back up on the left.

OLAY!

I never understood how Yoshi suddenly became a villain after one poor performance but he has done alright so far. Distribution poor but that's down to match practice I think. He reads the game excellently and makes excellent, well timed challenges. Hopefully he can build on that first half, Gazza too. He has looked much better that in previous games.

southampton 2 tottenham 6 (1995) still hurts

Yep, esp with Grobs on the take and Ronny R bagging a hattrick

Very much resistible force meeting a movable object.

West ham losing

Also, Newcastle are on fire

Joe kinnear was right in that they did not really need to add to their squad

It does help when you are only playing against nine men though.
