Glasgow_Saint Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Make or break time.... Can we bounce back and challenge for europe again? Four home game... Great chance to kick start our season Your predictions - (win, draw, lose?) Cardiff (A) Everton (A) Chelsea (H) Burnley (H)* WBA (H) Sunderland (A) Arsenal (H)
adrian lord Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 We must demand to win v WBA, Sunderland and Cardiff, and hope to get draws or sneak wins in the rest. All depends on the injury-ravaged defence, and the early part of the window perhaps yielding something.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 I think the biggest threat is our injuries, but this is how I see it: Cardiff (A) -Win Everton (A) - Loss Chelsea (H) - Draw Burnley (H)* - Win WBA (H) - Win Sunderland (A) -Win Arsenal (H) - Draw So for me 11 out of 18 points, and a Fourth round in the cup.
Rasiak-9- Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Cardiff: 1-1 Everton: 3-1 Chelsea: 1-3 Burnley: 2-0 WBA: 3-2 Sunderland: 1-1 Arsenal: 1-2. Think we'll muddle our way to 5 points giving us 24 played and 29 points total. Having said that, I think we'll kick on from February onwards with all our players back fit, have the magic 40 by early/mid-march, giving us 7, 8 or 9 games to get ourselves into the mid 50s and finish in the top-half of the table.

I'd take that for sure
Pastor Patrón Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Don't care as long as we beat Arsenal
Glasgow_Saint Posted 24 December, 2013 Author Posted 24 December, 2013 11 for me. But make or break? Why? 6 wins and we are back in the hunt for Europe 6 defeats and we are in a relegation battle Somewhere in between we will need to settle for somewhere 9-14th
Dalek2003 Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Cardiff: 1-1 Everton: 3-1 Chelsea: 1-3 Burnley: 2-0 WBA: 3-2 Sunderland: 1-1 Arsenal: 1-2. Realistic. I am slightly more pessemistic and think we will finish on 46 points.

DuncanRG Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 It's really hard to say without knowing who's going to be back from injury and when. I quite fancy a win on Boruc's return against Chelsea and a nice little purple patch as everyone gets back into the groove. Wins against Chelsea and West Brom, draws against Sunderland and Arsenal.
Jonnyboy Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Even at the peak of our hype I could never see us finishing above 6th. Finishing 8th or 9th will have been an excellent season.
Window Cleaner Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Flirting with relegation, that's what I think will happen, still if we stay clear of bottom three I will be happy. so just 15 or 16 points in our remaining 21 games according to you then. Won't happen, sooner or later we'll recover our injured regulars and things will pick up, starting with some sort of effective goalkeeper.

studentsaint Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Cardiff win Everton loss Chelsea loss Burnley draw Wba win Sunderland win Arsenal draw
tpbury Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Cardiff - lose Everton - lose Chelsea - lose Burnley - win WBA - win Sunderland - draw Arsenal - win (this was based on rolling dice)
BlakeySFC Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Cardiff (A) - D Everton (A) - L Chelsea (H) - L Burnley (H) - W WBA (H) - D Sunderland (A) - L Arsenal (H) - L
jamesfp1 Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Can't predict anything with us at the moment. Going to assume we've lost the lot and then anything else is a bonus!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 24 December, 2013 Author Posted 24 December, 2013 Cardiff (A) - D Everton (A) - L Chelsea (H) - L Burnley (H) - W WBA (H) - D Sunderland (A) - L Arsenal (H) - L That would be just 2 wins in 16?
teenagegsaint Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Cardiff 2-2 Everton 2-1 Lose Chelsea 3-2 Win Burnley 2-0 Win WBA 1-1 Sunderland 2-1 Defeat Arsenal 2-0 win
Saint_Tony Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Cardiff 1-1 Draw Everton 3-1 lose Chelsea 2-0 lose Burnley 2-1 win Wba 4-1 win Sunderland 2-1 lose Arsenal 1-1 draw 8 points. A few winnable games to come in february. I have no doubt we will be fine once a few of our first team players return
Batman Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 With so many injuries Lukaku is going to tear us a new one
Window Cleaner Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 With so many injuries Lukaku is going to tear us a new one he's got to get past the rv with Sunderland's hackers first.
Micky Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Come the end of the season, can't see us getting relegated, but can't see us with anywhere near fifty points though. Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk
Saint Fan CaM Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Your predictions - (win, draw, lose?) Cardiff (A) - draw Everton (A) - lose Chelsea (H) -lose Burnley (H)* - draw (but this will be treated as a distraction this season and the Academy will likely play) WBA (H) - draw Sunderland (A) - draw Arsenal (H) - lose So three points to the PL tally. Not optimistic TBH, although clearly injuries coming back and then being match fit will play a huge part.
Horley CTFC Saint Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 6 wins and we are back in the hunt for Europe 6 defeats and we are in a relegation battle Somewhere in between we will need to settle for somewhere 9-14th Doesn't a win against Burnley keep us in the hunt for Europe?!
BlakeySFC Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 That would be just 2 wins in 16? Grim I know, but that's the way I think the proverbial cookie is going to crumble.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 24 December, 2013 Author Posted 24 December, 2013 Doesn't a win against Burnley keep us in the hunt for Europe?! Top 8 or top 12 + fa cup final My minimum expectations for this season.
Dr Who? Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Cardiff (A) 1-1 Everton (A) 3-0 Chelsea (H) 1-2 Burnley (H)* 3-1 WBA (H) 2-0 Sunderland (A) 1-1 Arsenal (H) 1-2 Just the 4 points for me with the current team. Cardiff (A) 1-1 Everton (A) 3-0 Chelsea (H) 2-2 Burnley (H)* 3-0 WBA (H) 3-0 Sunderland (A) 1-2 Arsenal (H) 2-2 9 points if players start returning in the new year.
Dr Who? Posted 24 December, 2013 Posted 24 December, 2013 Top 8 or top 12 + fa cup final My minimum expectations for this season. Agreed

SNSUN Posted 25 December, 2013 Posted 25 December, 2013 7 for me, but depends on whether we get the injured players back, or at least don't lose any more.
