IMO there are a few positives to take from today's game, Davis, Morgan, Lovren, Adam and Chambers look good, so in that respect its good.

 

The others in the side did ok (jay rod, cork, lambert to a degree) but the others for me confirmed that they have had their time with the club and should be pushed or moved on.

 

I think we all know the crack with who's good enough at this level and who's not, I'm just hoping the board / manager do too and will act in Jan.

 

For me Fox, Jos, Gaston and Gazza are not up to standard, I'd give Osvaldo the rest of the season to see if he's going to cut it but would still like to see another striker to come in as Ricky may not feature much next season.

 

So in Jan for me we need at least 1 quality CB, cover for Shaw as he's constantly out of the side, and we need to ship Gaston out too, he may well have a good touch and a few tricks but that doesn't matter if you give the ball away by lazy passes or getting pushed off the ball and take too long on the ball as he does.

 

I thank them for their service but its time for them to move on, if the management don't look to replace them in Jan we may as well kiss goodbye to a top 8 finish.

As much as I think we need to replace the likes of Jos, Fox etc - I don't think that will happen until the summer. I think the club are hell bent on promoting the youth, so before any signings we'll see the likes of Reed, Gallagher, Simms etc get game time.

He's been pretty awful for a while now, seems to boil down to when he went away with England and picked up that 'injury'. To me, it looks like he struggles to jump or hold off anyone. He's never been mobile, but looks to be playing with a shed load of timber on his back at the moment.

Hes had a poor season tbf, doesn't contribute enough at the moment.
