Tractor_Saint Posted 21 December, 2013 Share Posted 21 December, 2013 So, bought the missus an iphone Saints case for Christmas - went to wrap it today and peeled of the £10 sticker on the outside and was shocked...

Whitey Grandad Posted 21 December, 2013 Share Posted 21 December, 2013 That's naughty. Perhaps you should have peeled off the sticker before paying.
Tractor_Saint Posted 21 December, 2013 Author Share Posted 21 December, 2013 I wish I could get away with a £10 tacky case for Xmas with my Missus... Knew that would come along with the "Shocking nails you've got there". Obviously this is just one of the two presents. The other one is a fantastic steam iron that looks great. hypochondriac Posted 21 December, 2013 Share Posted 21 December, 2013 It's possible that the sticker was for an iPhone rather than an iPhone 5.
Hockey_saint Posted 21 December, 2013 Share Posted 21 December, 2013 Happens more often than you think. But there is no legal requirement for them to honour that price...more reputation really; I'd take it to the store and have a word. I bet they'd offer you some sort of remittance to save face. Viking Warrior Posted 21 December, 2013 Share Posted 21 December, 2013 I would send it back it's well scratched .
Saint-Armstrong Posted 21 December, 2013 Share Posted 21 December, 2013 Not really sure what the fuss is. It's clearly listed in shop as £10, online as £10 and on the sticker as £10. Yes maybe it used to be £5, but it's not now. Saints should've removed the sticker.
jawillwill Posted 21 December, 2013 Share Posted 21 December, 2013 Different barcode suggests different product. Anyway, even if so, prices fluctuate. It's a fact of life.

Was just about to post that. Item Code is different, it's a different product. Seems that the sticker was put on by accident.

Ludwig Posted 21 December, 2013 Share Posted 21 December, 2013 Presumably you thought £10 was a fair price when you bought it? Something is only worth what people will pay for it and it seems that you were happy to pay £10.

SuperMikey Posted 22 December, 2013 Share Posted 22 December, 2013 Nope, bought online for £10... ....eh? Somebody must have put the first sticker on by accident as it's probably for an older version of the iPhone as somebody said before. The numbered code is different on each sticker which doesn't mean they've changed the price, just that it's a different product.

The other one is a fantastic steam iron that looks great. Looks like you've got a little bit of wear on the lunula, and perhaps that stems from the root below, as per B) and C) in this diagram: Now, topologically speaking, nails grow and sometimes you get a nasty little bit of extra skin on the cuticle which can turn into a hangnail. Nasty business. Try Sally Hansen's Cuticle care, only £7.40 from Boots. It really works. Here's some information on how to care for your cuticles.: http://www.ehow.com/how_2191450_care-cuticles.html :-D (I have no idea what any of that meant. Commercial enterprise takes advantage of Christmas shock. I thought the was the whole idea of Christmas was to con the public into buying stuff they wouldnt normally buy at inflated prices. lifeintheslowlane Posted 22 December, 2013 Share Posted 22 December, 2013 Perfect illustration on how the commercial side of the business intends to double returns for 2013/2014. It was a stated aim in Nicola's annual address at the beginning of the season. Reassuring to see measure are being fully implemented.
Viking Warrior Posted 22 December, 2013 Share Posted 22 December, 2013 (edited) Maybe the OP had another phone case and carefully peeled the barcode off that one and placed it close to the original price sticker in order to get an apology and compensation . It would not be the first time this ploy has been used. If it was that scratched I would have taken in back straight away . That cover looks as if it is well used and if so why would you still have the barcode stickers on it ? It would not be the first time this ploy has been used. Eh? I bought it from the Saints shop online. If you think this is some sordid compensation claim then guess again. It was £10 ffs. My issue is the underneath the £10 sticker was £5 price. That's it. Do you think Diana was killed by MI5?
