scotty Posted 20 December, 2013 Posted 20 December, 2013 Somebody who wouldn't walk out on us mid-contract to spurs for more money. Therefore, Glenn Hoddle.
Sheaf Saint Posted 20 December, 2013 Posted 20 December, 2013 Somebody who wouldn't walk out on us mid-contract to spurs for more money. Therefore, Glenn Hoddle. Are you Dalek in disguise?
Saint-Armstrong Posted 20 December, 2013 Posted 20 December, 2013 Someone from abroad again, I would imagine. Someone with a strong coaching reputation and has the same philosophy as the club. Maybe an Italian?

SNSUN Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 I believe player-managers are most effective as they can lead by example on the pitch. So... Messi. :-D
sotonjoe Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 We need someone who has shown they have what it takes to get the best out of expensively assembled foreign imports, so Andre Villas Boas would be my shout.
rshephard3 Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 Neil Maddison. With David Hughes as Assistant Manager. Hopefully a rebuild of the Dell will ensue. A couple of seasons with our current squad will see the best players picked off by the big clubs and a slow decline will set in. The media will placate us but get all excited about how the so called 'big boys' can't kick a ball straight at the Dell because of plucky little Southampton and we will turn Manchester United over 3 consecutive seasons. A strong fiesty little left back will prompt wild celebrations and t-shirt sales by finally scoring after millions of appearances for the club.
Badger Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 Phil Brown, Tommy Widdrington... the list is endless.
Turkish Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 Tony Cascarino. Always talks sense of sky, would make a great manager and a good old fashioned forward so would teach Ossie a thing or tow about getting on the end of crosses thrown into the mixer
Lets B Avenue Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 Surely its time for the "John Beck Revival"?
The Kraken Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 Surely its time for the "John Beck Revival"? Over water the channels, lump it out wide and swing it in for the big man. Proper football.
Badger Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 Over water the channels, lump it out wide and swing it in for the big man. Proper football. And extra "crowd" played over the public address system, and into the away team dressing room before the match.
