The Kraken Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 Now that...............THAT!! Comedy genius!! Yet again. A GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tell you. You should be on stage with humour like that.:lol::lol:
Glasgow_Saint Posted 21 December, 2013 Author Posted 21 December, 2013 Didnt catch all of it, but they were talking about our poor form / lack of recent points / drop from 3rd to 9th on talksport last night.
Turkish Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 More or less - concerned our gameplan doesn't translate as well away from home and we still lack pace which is a mongboard faux pas So you're not happy with our away form?
Lets B Avenue Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 Didnt catch all of it, but they were talking about our poor form / lack of recent points / drop from 3rd to 9th on talksport last night. Sorry to hear that. I'm sure they will have it as a download on their website, so you can wallow it its full glory. You can probably knock one off while you listen.
shirleysfc Posted 21 December, 2013 Posted 21 December, 2013 That's irrelevant, form means nothing. I mean, it meant something when we were top of the pops after the first few games, but now? Nah, it means nothing. Numbers look bad. It's all a conspiracy. Lawro did it, probably. How do you think we're doing at the moment? The Villa result was bad but other than that I thought we had two good draws with City and Newcastle. There's no shame in losing away to Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Villa result was bad but other than that I thought we had two good draws with City and Newcastle. There's no shame in losing away to Chelsea and Arsenal. I think how we're doing at the moment is summed up by the form table. I think how we're doing over the course of the season is summed up by the league table. In total, we're doing better than I thought we would at the start of the season. I hope that answers the question
Glasgow_Saint Posted 22 December, 2013 Author Posted 22 December, 2013 bottom of the 5 game form league after WBA point yesterday! Just hope we bounce back today

Glasgow_Saint Posted 22 December, 2013 Author Posted 22 December, 2013 Appreciate we have a couple of injuries (who doesnt) but this is woeful form Bubble truly burst
Olallana Posted 22 December, 2013 Posted 22 December, 2013 1 win in last 9 Yet another lie. Or are you not honouring your own thread title? No form guide has ever had cup games in them...
Glasgow_Saint Posted 22 December, 2013 Author Posted 22 December, 2013 Yet another lie. Or are you not honouring your own thread title? No form guide has ever had cup games in them... Thread title is "form guide" not league form? 1 win in 9 includes our cup exit...... Why wouldnt it?
Olallana Posted 22 December, 2013 Posted 22 December, 2013 Thread title is "form guide" not league form? 1 win in 9 includes our cup exit...... Why wouldnt it? So why does the table you used as "proof" not include a loss for Spurs and a win for West Ham from the games this week....or a win for Sunderland and loss for Chelsea???
Glasgow_Saint Posted 22 December, 2013 Author Posted 22 December, 2013 So why does the table you used as "proof" not include a loss for Spurs and a win for West Ham from the games this week....or a win for Sunderland and loss for Chelsea??? Just relax mate. The form table shows us bottom of the league over the last 6 games The 1 win in 9 highlights poor form beyond the league
BlakeySFC Posted 22 December, 2013 Posted 22 December, 2013 Relegation form at the moment, we need to watch our backs.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 23 December, 2013 Author Posted 23 December, 2013 Relegation form at the moment, we need to watch our backs. This will be dismissed as laughable - however look at Hull and Blackpool in recent years. Both had easy fixtures to start the season and started very well - both then sunk like a stone and were relegated. Im hoping we do a WBA (last season) start well, have a bad run and then recover to finish around mid-table. Not quite the exciting season mopo promised but hey ho

Not quite the exciting season mopo promised but hey ho Yeah completely agree, hopefully we push on again in mid-January after the tough fixtures have been and gone (for the most part). We only need 16 points to secure our position in the league for another season which is do-able, just hope the players' confidence doesn't take too much of a hit if we keep this bad-form going is all.
Olallana Posted 26 December, 2013 Posted 26 December, 2013 So is it a form guide or a result guide....? Seems like it changes whatever suits your needs the best.....and first using 5 games guide cause it suited you the best and now all the sudden the 6 games guide is chosen.... You still wonder why people think you´re on an agenda??
Glasgow_Saint Posted 26 December, 2013 Author Posted 26 December, 2013 And given these form tables are usually done over 6 games Changed to 6 games as "these form tables are usually done over 6 games" Play the post, not the poster mate. Agenda???

DuncanRG Posted 26 December, 2013 Posted 26 December, 2013 Dead boring this We all know our form isn't good enough, we need to think about how it'll pick up. Step one is getting our best players back in which has already started

Glasgow_Saint Posted 13 January, 2014 Author Posted 13 January, 2014 Looking a bit better now Just hope we dont get anymore injuries as team & mopo seem to struggle when team isnt full strengh surprised at Swansea - guess thats the price of Europe?
shurlock Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 Looking a bit better now Just hope we dont get anymore injuries as team & mopo seem to struggle when team isnt full strengh surprised at Swansea - guess thats the price of Europe? Not looking forward to the next time we play Chelsea.
Window Cleaner Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 (edited) Looking a bit better now Just hope we dont get anymore injuries as team & mopo seem to struggle when team isnt full strengh surprised at Swansea - guess thats the price of Europe? the team struggles when we have to play one of our two crap reserve goalkeepers, the rest is irrelevant. As for Swansea did I not tip them for relegation ? They really aren't that good because they just cannot defend correctly. Without the goals that their Jamboree Bag surprise Michu got them last season they'd have been in trouble as well. Edited 13 January, 2014 by Window Cleaner
Saint Garrett Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 Not looking forward to the next time we play Chelsea. Well thats next season so I shouldn't worry too much!

You did tip them - but they wont get relegated They have a horrible injury list at the moment + europe Injured J Cañas D Tiendalli J De Guzman R Lamah P Hernandez M Michu M Vorm N Dyer G Monk
Dalek2003 Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 Well thats next season so I shouldn't worry too much! Unless we meet them in the FA Cup.
del boy Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 Once we get to the end of January, after Sunderland away and Arsenal home, 6 out of the following 7 games are against teams currently below us in the form table Looking good for 8th place finish I'd say (oh... and the FA Cup)

Would´ve been interesting to see other teams forced to play their 3rd choice keeper in 5 straight games.. Man C = Richard Wright Chelsea = Hilario Arsenal = Viviano Liverpool = Ward (20yrs old) Everton = Springthorpe (20yrs old) Tottenham = Gomes/Archer Safe to say that no teams can really afford to have the first two choices out for too many games...
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 Does this include cup games? It should, shouldn't it?
Olallana Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 Does this include cup games? It should, shouldn't it? (but not for trousers to answer to though )

We'd still be top 6 but for the horrendous contribution of Gazzaniga.
Olallana Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 We'd still be top 6 but for the horrendous contribution of Gazzaniga. Agree. I even think Victors protection of the back four would make Hoovield/Yoshida quite decent when we have to play any of them...
stmusicdude Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 Not the best..... Hope we can bounce back Sunday your "form" is consistent though - ruin a forum massage your ego/humor whatever - what a hero you are ..
Glasgow_Saint Posted 13 January, 2014 Author Posted 13 January, 2014 We'd still be top 6 but for the horrendous contribution of Gazzaniga. 2 league wins in 10! All Gazza's fault?
igsey Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 2 league wins in 10! All Gazza's fault? He certainly didn't help much.
Saint Garrett Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 2 league wins in 10! All Gazza's fault? No. All mixed with Boruc, Davis, Clyne, Shaw, Fonte, Lovren, Morgan and Wanyama all missing at some point over the last few months. Pretty obvious really.
Dr Who? Posted 13 January, 2014 Posted 13 January, 2014 2 league wins in 10! All Gazza's fault? I think it was more to do with the teams we were playing and players missing.
