Vincent Tan tells Malky Mackay to resign - or he'll be sacked

Mackay is a great manager, Tan is gonna regret this move, though agreed with post above. WBA would be a perfect club to establish himself in the PL too.

Vincent Tan is an absolute loon. I wonder whether Cardiff fans might be the ones who are brave enough to kick up a serious stink against the guy who bankrolls them.

Mackay will get a better job and do just fine. Wonder whether Tan might look at Steve Clarke?

He is just a real tit, some big idiots in and around the PL basement at the moment including Tan, the hull chairman and even Tony Fernandes of QPR though I get the impression he is more idiot then mentalist.

I sort of agree with both MLG and Armstrong here, should he be able to manufacture the move WBA and Mackay could do an aweful lot worse than each other, as per who would join Cardiff ? Dont know ? Whats Sven doing these days ?

Still, the welsh teams have no right to play in the English football league anyway

Madness. Mackay is a good manager who was doing a good job, but clearly the nutter Tan is expecting more for the money they spent. Cardiff fans would be right to protest this. I think Malky would be a perfect fit for Norwich, with the history he has and the fact that Hughton is riding a fine line, but the WBA job is free and it's as good a job as any in the Premier League in terms of expectation.

I bet Swansea fans are most amused by the goings on at Cardiff this season.

Just wondering but Mackay could possibly go to Watford? I swear Zola left 2 days ago, and seeing as Mackay played for Watford, it might be a possibility?

Mackay didn't just play for Watford, he managed them. Watford have appointed a new manager in any case yesterday - Giuseppe Sannino, plus returning to Watford would be quite a step back for MacKay.

Thought I heard on the radio that MacKay mentioned 3 players needed in Jan and Tan said "no" followed by "what have you done??"!!

Blimey Charlie he got your team into the richest Football League in the World!

MacKay knows to sit tight, and fair play to him he has been very good at keeping his mouth shut while all this is going on. Guessing the next manager......... It will probably be another friend of the Tan family.

What a fruit loop. Main gripe appears to be Mackay spending 'too much' (26.5M) on players when the budget was 35M. Alright, perhaps add ons take it past that but surely he had final sanction so he was aware of and approved overall spend and could have refused, or is he just not very good at maths?

Judging by his sacking and appointment of a new manager of scouting he will appoint a Taiwanese Window Cleaner as new manager. What a total and utter tool thank god NC has some idea about football matters!

Mackay is a good manager for a team like cardiff, Tan is the best example of everything that is wrong with having owners with no football experience or idea about the game and someone who uses a football club as his play thing. Cortese might not be everyone's cup of tea but I would take him over Tan any day.

No comparison is there ?

I have not been a supporter of NC all along the way, but Christ alive, he has made a positive impact, and keeps his rants private.

Putting it in context, I'd take Rupert back, ahead of a c^nt like Tan.

About a year ago we all thought NC was as mad as a box of Frogs when he sacked our Nige.

This all seems very different. NC had a Bloody Good plan.

Tan seems to have Jet Lag.

Feel sorry for the Cardiff fans, but then I guess Sunderland, Palace & Fulham will all sleep easier tonight.

And I bet it is fun in the pubs of Swansea this evening...........

What a misguided idiot you are, just that.. I suppose you think its funny to trot out xenophobic nonsense like this

Theres already a welsh league you tit how is it xenophobic ? Or is there a midtable scrap between olympic marsailles and CFR Cluj ?

Its all about opinions, Charlie, no need for abuse. I happen to agree with smirker, but its not xenophobia. There was a thread a while back about Rangers and Celtic joining the EPL because the scottish league is a joke, that didn't go down too well iirc.

Even with the benefit of hindsight, I think everyone recognised that NC had a plan - whether it was a "Bloody Good" one or not was open to debate at the time.

Tan doesn't appear to have a plan of any sort - what's his end game? So you get rid of Mackay - whether he's doing a good job this season is debatable - what's next? Sure, there will be plenty of managers willing to take the cash on offer for what would probably be a short-lived job, but it's hardly conducive to stable progression.

Could you download the application form mate? I have a few quiet months coming up ;)

Surely that's not legal?

It's constructive dismissal but so what? Compensation is capped at about 70 grand so that's hardly material. His contract will no doubt contain something that enhances that. The law isn't really relevant.

Still the fans will come in their lovely red replica shirts. We all like the riches and glamour of the PL but seriously worrying how many ****s it is attracting to invest.

Always disliked Cardiff though so find it funny and rather they went down than a better run club. Feel more sorry for a Hull though which is similar situation.

Still never know their May be another Steve Kean out there.

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his own soul?

in 12 months time. if the new guy has them in the top 10 playing good football. most (if not all) will say it was for sure, the right decision just not the way it happened.

Why would they say that? What do you get for playing good football and finishing 10th?

Nothing gets past Barry. We should have him in goal while bolok is out.

I've been wondering a lot about that lately. Is that how's it's pronounced in ur culture? I mean, does Maya call him bollocks?

True, true. Clubs will look at us & think >> change manager, spend £40 million and we too could climb 5 places in the table!

# it's happening

2 million per place is only a net spend of 30mill by the way
