BobCharles was Thin Posted 16 December, 2013 Share Posted 16 December, 2013 Now sold, out but if anyone is going Xmas shopping and will not be using their ticket I would appreciate hearing from you.
stevegrant Posted 16 December, 2013 Share Posted 16 December, 2013 According to the online system, there are actually some individual tickets available dotted around all over the place - by my reckoning, there are 21 single non-family-section tickets left (3 in blocks 4 and 6, 5 in block 18 and 1 in blocks 9, 12-17, 19, 34 and 37). No idea why the club has put up the "sold out" signs for this game and the Chelsea ones when there are still some tickets left. As a result, either pop down to the ticket office or give them a call and they should be able to sort you out.
BobCharles was Thin Posted 16 December, 2013 Author Share Posted 16 December, 2013 Thanks Steve, you are indeed right, I called the ticket office and picked up one of the singles. Still a few left if anyone else is looking. Strange that they put up the sold out sign?
Colinjb Posted 16 December, 2013 Share Posted 16 December, 2013 Could the club want to keep a few spares back for some form of contingency purpose?
stevegrant Posted 16 December, 2013 Share Posted 16 December, 2013 Could the club want to keep a few spares back for some form of contingency purpose? I think once they get down to that few single tickets, the thought process is that most people don't attend games alone, so it would be difficult to shift those remaining tickets (I suspect tickets in the family section have to be sold as adult-child pairings, which is obviously nigh on impossible when there are only single tickets, not many parents would be happy sitting 10 rows in front of their child). Better to put the "sold out" signs up and hope that anyone who wants to go then takes a look at the corporate hospitality offering instead.
