Lambert to West Ham Rumour

Completely positive I'll get abuse for this - But for £8million I'd take it and reinvest in a younger model. Love Rickie to pieces and would love to see him retire here - but realisitcally he's taken a slight dip in form over the season and £8million isnt a bad shout.

Just to clarify - SRL is a hero and I dont want to sell him - But £8 million isnt bad...

Agree, £8m reinvested to pay a huge chunk towards someone like Begovic would be for the greater good. What was Allardyce expecting by by the way? £500k and a packet of crisps? Stupid, fat ignorant dislikable man.

We dont play a style that suits Lambert nor do we play to his strenghs..... On that basis we should sell him, as his talents are wasted with us and he is getting increasingly frustrated with it all.

Problem is mopo did have an oppurtunity to spend BIG & hand pick the replacement during the summer and he (Osvaldo) doesnt seem to fit the style either..........

In all fairness I think he could score a few goals at West Ham. For me he's the biggest club legend we have had since MLT and I wouldn't begrudge him a move. However, I feel that if we give him a rest until the West Brom game, he will come back firing on all cylinders. It's stupid to suggest he's suddenly lost his quality in the last couple of months. He's still a top player and will have his sights set on Brazil

He's score 2 in his last 3 hasn't he? He's hardly out of form although he has been less impressive than last season by his own high standards.

"I don't feel like that anymore (on supporting Liverpool). I support Southampton more now"

"You have to know the club and fall in love with the club, and I have now. I'll always be a Southampton fan. My love is for Southampton now"

What an absolute legend.

How do you know he is frustrated? He doesn't sound it in the interview released this morning which, to be fair, does make what you've said sound a bit stupid.

You must be about 102 with all the stuff you've done and football you've watched...

In fact I'm sure one of the popular sundays ran a 4 or 5 week tutorial on Body Language a good few years back. It was a bloody nuisance, everybody watched everybody in pubs and workplaces and then came out with crap like "I can tell from your BL that you're tupping your PA on overseas trips". Everyone was a fudging expert.

Body language mate

Did alot of studies on this few years back.

Of course you have. So how do you read all the positive words he was saying on the video? Lies? Told to say it by Cortese?

You have so many talents it's no surprise that your mate Turdish called you a popular guy with loads of friends. All that must get lost somewhere when you post on here eh?

Unless Alan Nixon is counting forwards that will probably never play for us again (Barnard, Forte etc.) I don't know where he gets the idea we are overly blessed up front.

Unless we bring a good replacement then no way.

What are those two doing, do they just train and never play?

He's nearly 32. £8 million is an insane amount of money for him. If this is true, and the bid comes in, I can't see us not accepting. We all love Rickie, what he's done for us since he arrived beggars belief. He'll be known for years to come as a key player in our rise up the leagues. But £8 million is obscene for a player of his age whose best days are perhaps behind him.

Maybe I'm tipsy and it's ruining my judgement but I'd have to take the money and reinvest it into another striker.

Would people complain if we sold him for that and got Danny Ings or Jordan Rhodes with the money?

If we wanted to make way for Rhodes or another young Striker of RL's size, then we should go for it. Can't really say I've seen enough of Ings to cast judgement on him. Really it depends on whether there would be an intent to sign another Striker if Lambert is sold.

I'd snap off their arms for £8m!

As others said, a 32 year old, who i have said for a while now is no longer suitable for our system, for £8m is insane. His general play has deteriorated so much in my opinion over the last 6-9 months. His goal ratio has dropped significantly. After a couple of brilliant England performances, where the national team setup suits him better than it does here - he has been nowhere near the player he was.

Take the money and run NC!!
