Hopefully we can win! I reckon we stand a reasonable chance and should be able to pull it off and get three points :-P

I'd like to see:

Gazza

Chambers, Fonte, Lovren, Shaw

Cork, Morgan,

J Rod, Lallana, Davis

Osvaldo

And if Ossie not playing well, then bring on SRL :)

PS- This is my first post!!!!!!! :-P I've been reading this forum for around 2 months though(only decided to make one now :-p), so I can name a few members (as well as the trolls)! Wanna say hi too :-)

More or less this really, been really impressed with Davis recently, tidy tidy player and a snip at what we paid.

Will Ossies ban apply this weekend if its sanctioned ?

So there are two things on Twitter from the press conference. Clyne back in training and will be assessed ahead of the weekend (I still think Chambers might start anyway), and that we we're not looking to use the Jan transfer window.

What a crap press conference!

They don't tend to tweet the 'tittle-tattle' stuff so I assume that means most of the conference was Pochettino being asked about the vacant Spurs job and/or Osvaldo's FA charge

I thought he could have been more forthright in saying he's not going to spurs.

I'm just watching it now. He was pretty forthright IMO....he simply said "I never comment on rumours. Never have done, never will"

Nothing to read into that IMO

When then asked if rumours about Rickie Lambert potentially leaving were true he replied: "There are always rumours. This season we have rumours that exist from the President to the Kitman!". At which point the reporter asked: "Is the kitman leaving then?" to which MP replied in English: "It's possible..be careful!" :)

Interesting to see Gazza involved in the possession football aspect of training today....do our keepers always get involved in that side of things or maybe this is extra training for Gazza to get him to feel more comfortable with our 'pass it around the back for a while' style of possession football?

He is comfortable with it. Thats not the problem, he is if anything too comfortable/casual.

Not sure why we would play Osvaldo; anonymous at Newcastle and has yet to integrate into our playing style.

I would go with the same team in the latter part at Newcastle with Lambert, Davis and lallana behind JRod as his pace will terrify Spurs CBs

Looked pretty well integrated into our style against Citeh at home. Maybe not fitting quite as well away at the moment. Think he will play and then will be rested for a few weeks once his ban is confirmed.

But how is he going to integrate if he's sat on the bench?

I agree he has had some bad games, Newcastle being one of them, but he's had some great games too that show he can offer us a lot. I would play him as much as possible to give him the chance of adapting and integrating into the team.

Would be tempted to play Osvaldo, although I wouldn't be that fussed if Lambert started instead. Think we'll have a lot of the ball, just finding the correct combination to get a few goals.

Gazza; Chambers Fonte Lovren Shaw; Morgan Cork; Davis Lallana JRod; Osvaldo

Would be my choice.

Ditto

Marvellous.

Get JRod running at them.

Chiriches has looked ok so far I think and Dawson, although not quick is a good defender. In addition, Walker and Rose, whilst dubious footballers are both quick to cover across.

I think we can get some joy, but so will they through Gazza and if he plays, Jos Hooiveld.

Not sure whether I'd want chambers or Clyne. The argument for hambers is that chadli is spurs biggest aerial threat (needs to be marked by a CB from corners), therefore Clyne would struggle with back post crosses against him. My argument for Clyne is that he is better going forward thatn CC and spurs LB slot is one we should target as there ate few choices.

Think gazza, CC, fonte (I hope), lovren, Shaw, schneiderlin, cork, j rod, Davis, Lallana, Lambert. That front 4 creates so many chances at SMS.

Would prefer to keep Chambers in for this one, purely so that Clyney gets the extra rest time and is fighting fit for the Cardiff/Everton games.

-----------------GAZZA----------------

CHAMBO----FONTE----LOVREN----SHAW

----------MORGAN----CORK------------

----LALLANA----LAMBERT----JAYROD---

----------------OSVALDO--------------

Subs: Cropper, Clyne, Hooiveld, S.Davis, JWP, Ramirez, Gallagher

Lambert playing just off Osvaldo because I think we can play through their defence - Kaboul and Vertonghen are big misses for them. All of the front 4 capable of scoring goals, get in their faces from the off and give them a torrid time!

Listening to Sherwood on SSN-I'd be quite worried as a Spurs fan. Him talking about the job sounds like a 'fan on the board' talking about commercial matters. The whiff of skate was quite pungent.

I have met him. Our kids went to the same school. To say he is not the sharpest tool in the box is a major understatement

Met plenty of away fans in the KA before and after games - probably best to make sure he doesn't wear obvious colours and you should be fine. Enjoyed pints with Millwall, Leeds, Everton, Man Utd and Villa fans in there before.

Don't know about this season, it hasn't been open much. Last season the KA had to screen off the back yard and ran a strict 'door policy' (show your tkt, home fans only) for certain games as and when directed by the police - Spurs was one of the games that was home fans only.

If he doesn't have a home tkt prob best avoid the KA?
