Saints vs Spurs - Build Up

Sunday afternoon for this one, early 1330 kick off.

Spurs did the double over us last year with a Bale wonder strike earning them an undeserved win at the Lane last time out. He also scored the opener at St Mary's last October. Jay Rodriguez scored his first ever Premier League goal in this fixture I believe.

For me Lallana, Fonte and Morgan should be back in the starting 11.

A winnable game for sure but I wouldn't be too upset with a draw.

Misses the West Ham game midweek I think.

Sandro injured now, would be helpful if he missed the game. I remember Morgan nearly knocking his head off in this fixture last year.

Oh, I suppose Dawson being available is actually a good thing. He has been very poor when I have watched Spurs play this season.

I think the physical presence of Wanyama will be missed against Sandro and Dembele.

team for me...

Gazza

Chambers Fonte Lovren Shaw

Cork Morgan

Lallana Davis JRod

Osvaldo

That would be my team as well. Gives us a good balance of attacking flair and defensive solidity.

Didn't realise this was a Sunday game though. Gonna have to rearrange work if I can.

I cannot get over how bad Spurs look, the worst team performance I've seen in years. Utterly clueless in possession and position.

I'll be devastated if we don't beat this lot based on what I'm seeing today, especially with their suspensions and injuries. If we play our game with the intensity we do, we should beat them off the pitch and probably get AVB sacked.

Maybe, but we don't play with the pace of Liverpool in the final third.. I would be tempted to play with JRod up front with lambert, Lallana and Davis as the offensive trio.

Not sure how i feel about the chance of AVB being sacked. It could work against us either way, if he's gone then the players will be playing for their place, and maybe a new manager. If he isn't it'll be last chance for AVB and he'll have to win.

Reckon we might actually get beaten in this one, but it'll be close. I'm going 1-2 spurs and a dirty niggly game.
