Dark Munster Posted 13 December, 2013 Share Posted 13 December, 2013 ... would ensure that Citeh topped their Champions league group ahead of Bayern: http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/article/165/9071358/pellegrini-sorry-for-confusion You would've thought at least one of the coach, his staff, or players would have known what they needed to top the group. It's not like they went to play Bayern for any other reason: qualification was already assured. Leading 3-2, they all thought 2 more goals were needed, so Pellegrini didn't bother making an attacking substitution. So now they are saying that they are looking forward to possibility of playing Barcelona, Real Madrid, or Dortmund.
Saint_clark Posted 14 December, 2013 Share Posted 14 December, 2013 I thought it was on goal difference as well, seemed logical. But yeah you'd think someone in his staff would know.
