beatlesaint Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 2 - 0 to Burnley I'm afraid......i just cant see who will score for us at the moment. When all eyes are on BWP to get the goals you know we are in trouble.
saintrich Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 (edited) 1-0 to Burnley Edited 12 December, 2008 by saintrich
Saint_Jonny Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Dunno why but ive got a positive feeling about 2mozzle, 3-1 saints, same as last season, BWP scoring in the first 5 mins. Boo yea!!
Evil Monkey Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Like last week, I'm predicting a Saints win. Ultimately though we will face a relegation battle this season. I think we'll win next week too.
ladysaint Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 This doesnt bode very well "we havent lost at Turf Moor since 1976". Think I have more chance guessing how many away supporters we are taking rather than the result of this one.
DT Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 I knew we'd be raped by Palace because they're that sort of team and had money on Shefki Coochi Coo to score first and them to win. But I feel oddly like we'll win tomorrow, as we seem to do well away and against teams who are 'expected' to win. That said, I think Akinbyi will also score, as he weighs over 10stone. All of our lot will just fall over when he nudges them, and Davis will lie down again when he's through on goal or just not come for anything beyond his goalline. Hello NickH.
slickmick Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Well win and be 6 points clear of drop zone.
Pancake Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 0-1 to Saints, late late goal in injury time from McG.
Thedelldays Posted 12 December, 2008 Author Posted 12 December, 2008 once again..i will predict a saints win...then tell everyone else to be realistic about how rubbish we are when talking generally about our season...
ottery st mary Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Saints to win 3-1. Everything to click on the day..Particularly my joints.
Andy_Porter Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Fingers crossed for a win. If we can pull a good performance out and get 3 points we would be in good shape considering who the other relegation contenders are playing this weekend.
egreog Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Burnley 4 - 0 Saints......... pretty pointless football as usual
Papa Shango Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 I fear the worst tomorrow. Really can't see us getting anything. 3-0 Burnley.
Fowllyd Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Saints to win 3-1. Everything to click on the day..Particularly my joints. I don't wish to know about your smoking habits.
ottery st mary Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 I don't wish to know about your smoking habits. Nice one.
Toomer Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 This doesnt bode very well "we havent lost at Turf Moor since 1976". Think I have more chance guessing how many away supporters we are taking rather than the result of this one. And look what happened in 76 bring on UTD
St Marco Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Burnley are the inform team and we are playing them off the back of a 2-2 draw or something at home. They will be up for this game because of that. They are a no nonsense team and the place is one of the most hostile crowds i have experienced, im sure it will be again tommorow. Burnely have developed into a typical championship team, big, strong, like to tackle and like to defend with everyone involved pressuring the opposition when they get the ball. If you play like that your obviously do well and their league position shows that. As much as i want a repeat of the Reading game i can't see it. Since the Reading game we have played truely awful football and like with a few results this year have been fortunate. Fortunate that our keeper kept us in those games. I fear tommorow could go two ways. We turn up and play for a draw and hold on for the entire 90mins to a 0-0, and i would be delighted with that! Or we will go there over confident, bigging up how great we are and get turned over. So my prediction is 4-0 Burnley.
SuperMikey Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 We're going to get completely buttf*cked. People seem to forget that this Burnley side have beaten two of the Prem's best teams in the cup and they're riding high in the CCC too. We just can't score goals at the moment, and although we've improved defensively from earlier this season, I cannot see us getting anything from tomorrow. 5-0 to Burnley.
View From The Top Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 We will get stuffed and my nipper and I will be freezing our nuts off in the bleak industrial wasteland that is Burnley.
um pahars Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 I predict some serious bouncebackability and a 3-2 win (was it 2 seasons ago that we won by 3-2 up there???).
Appy Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 I predict some serious bouncebackability and a 3-2 win (was it 2 seasons ago that we won by 3-2 up there???). We have won 3-2 there the last two seasons.
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 3-0 Burnley, bottom three on xmas day.
Fowllyd Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 We are consistent in one thing only, and that is our inconsistency (apologies to Socrates - no, not that one, the Greek one). So, having given a pretty inept display on Monday night, we're bound to do something strange tomorrow. Saints win then, 2-1 or maybe 3-2. I shall wake up in the morning, fold my hands and pray for that.
wightman35 Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Burnley 5. Saints 0...........but I was never any good at this guessing game. Can't even get 3 lotto numbers.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Im watching the results come in with a load of mates in the pub,so i guess we will lose 3-0.
Legod Third Coming Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Bunch of miserable firkers - 2-1 the Saints! how can a fan predict a loss? No heart, no hope!
Mowgli Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 I'll go with 2-1 as well. One defeat in 5 games is not bad going and in case you have noticed, we have a stable squad selection - particularly at the back. With Holmes and others on the way back I'm not too despondent.
David Strover Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Burnley 3 Southampton 0 possibly 3-0 down at halftime. We are ****e and it's about time we started to see this clearly. Things might start getting better when some of the rose-tinted spectacles come off.....

EFM Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Bunch of miserable firkers - 2-1 the Saints! how can a fan predict a loss? No heart, no hope! If they were a betting fan, for example, they'd be doing pretty well this season? Besides which we have lost every game when I have predicted a win so I'll go for 3-1 Burnley* and, like all the others non-fans predicting a loss, hope that I'm proved wrong. (*Obviously blasphemy in your holy book.)

Windmill Arm 2 Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Bunch of miserable firkers - 2-1 the Saints! how can a fan predict a loss? No heart, no hope! Not all fans are deluded.
Legod Third Coming Posted 12 December, 2008 Posted 12 December, 2008 Not all fans are deluded. If they're not, then they don't qualify as fans. Fans believe they're going to win no matter what. That's how it works - fanatical. The rest say something different but inside still secretly believe in victory. They just don't like to admit it. Otherwise, they are hollow and should give up football.

The rest say something different but inside still secretly believe in victory. They just don't like to admit it. Otherwise, they are hollow and should give up football. How long have you been supporting Saints - two weeks? We have a long history of not winning many games - how about the least amount of wins in the last ten years - historically and accurately we will probably lose this game. I always go with the logic but having said that football doesn't always do this. Just because I think we are crap, just because I don't think we will win does not make me some how a lesser supporter it just means my view point on Southampton Football Club different from yours - not the rest of my life which you know nothing about just Southampton Football Club. I would like to see Saints win 5-0 with the press raving about the demolition of Burnley and highlights being shown left, right and centre......ain't gonna happen though - probably.
ladysaint Posted 13 December, 2008 Posted 13 December, 2008 Just leaving for the game and feel like that guy on the news who was stood their on camera in the poiuring rain saying he was ****ed off, sick, missing his missus etc., please lads put on a good display today and make it worth the trip in this torrential rain.
Dalek2003 Posted 13 December, 2008 Posted 13 December, 2008 Burnley 4, Saints 0. On our way down to Div 1
