Who can we finish above?

The table is starting to take shape and we are getting a rough idea of the teams around us. I think most agree that the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City have too much quality and will be out if reach come the end of the season. Below that though the rest is still up for grabs.

Liverpool - if they hang on to Suarez in January I can't see us catching them. If he leaves or gets injured we might have an outside chance.

Everton - Martinez has them playing brilliantly and Lukaku is probably better than any of our strikers. I think they will beat us too.

Spurs - I think they will finish ahead of us but not by much. AVB is a good manager and when he gets his signings firing on all cylinders they will be a tough side to beat.

Newcastle - probably the form team at the moment but whether they have the depth to keep it up for the rest of the year I don't know. Next weekend might give us a clue but I can't call this one.

Man Utd - I remember the start of the season and the 'we're above Man U lolz' posts. Now it's December and we're still there. They've lost their last 2 games, both at Old Trafford and don't look like turning it around any time soon. I genuinely think we can beat them this year.

We won't finish above Arse, City, Chelsea or Liverpool. We almost certainly won't finish above Man U. Everton are also looking good. I would say we could finish above Newcastle or Spurs but it'll he tough.

Outside those, Swansea are the only team who could come close IMO.

We are significantly better than average mid table teams and will finish between 7th and 9th, I reckon.

we will finish probably 6th but pushing hard for the 5th place. Citeh,Arsenal,Liverpool and Chelsea will finish above us this time. Utd will be upper mid-table, Moyes wll be sacked soon and they'll get a panic manager in. Much will depend on just hw much world cup "stars" start taking it easy from about March onward, I can see all those Belgian boys going into a tail spin, must be their first world cup in a fair while, they'll all want to be there.

Spurs will click at some point and you'd imagine United will as well, though I'm not sure they'll get the consistency they need to really climb back up the table.

Too early to tell how Newcastle will do in the long term. I think we've got a chance of beating one or two of those teams.
