Welcome to the bearsy hate thread! All the top haters is here!

I was trying to do a scout report on newcastle earlier but when i got to the Top Wags section I was stymied. Apparently the courts do not release these datas - I can't find a single picture of Loic Remy's girlfriend! :sulk:

Didn't Tulisa make a video with their right back or something? Or has he now moved on to be closer to her coke supplier*? If in doubt bear, just put that Peter Beardsley boned someone from Geordie shore, it's bound to have happened at some point or other.

If fit I'd go:

Davis

Clyne fonte lovren shaw

Cork Morgan

Lallana s Davis j rod

Osvaldo

Subs:

Gazza, lambert, Ramirez, chambers, hooiveld, jwp,

Not sure how likely Clyne and Morgan are (any updates??).

If we need to go with Davis & Cork at CM I think we might see Gaston behind Osvaldo. Although he's just back from injury, I think JWP could do with a break. Alternatively, could SRL do a job in that role?

I believe he likes a thousand strokes with a hair brush or whip one or the other.

I'm arriving in Manila Saturday afternoon. Know anywhere in Makati that's showing the game?

No am afraid not, although the English bar in Alabang purports to show games,

since the debacle with Al Jezeera I can't even get any of the games on Balls TV anymore? and we used to get all the Saturday and Sunday games. At present I am back to dodgy chinese streams again :(

Looking at that I'll take a point!

How Saints did against Newcastle in 1937, 1968, 1996 etc etc has no bearing on how they will do on Saturday. It is completely irrelevant.

We lost 4-2 there last season so thanks for the confidence boost.

but as I keep telling you there are 2 NUFCs, the one with Cabaye and the one without. They don't have a replacement for him, only similar players with at least one attribute missing. They are the nearest thing you'll find to a one man team this side of Hadrian's Wall.

MP: Unlikely that any of the injured players will return this weekend, apart from maybe Morgan (who wouldn't be fit enough to last 90 minutes though). Will make a decision on Morgan tomorrow. He may play "a few minutes" or it may be better to leave him behind for extra training.

I've never said anything like "we beat team X in 1956, so we have a good change of beating them in 2013".

Ah is that a quote from me? I don't think I once said that they have any impact on Saturday's result. However I did say that historically we're not very good up there....which is a fact, and I know how much you love facts.

Posted
I wasn't quoting anyone in particular, I was responding to Tokyo-Saint saying "Why do you sometimes bring up stuff from the past then?". 15/love to me.

I have much more than a mere 15 loves for you

I wouldn't go that far. There definitely are two NUFC's but it has little to do with Cabaye. We were as bad at Swansea with him as we were good at Old Trafford and we can even show both faces in one game (home against Hull). Ben arfa could be the interesting one if he plays as for all he's an amazing talent when he's off his game he makes us much less organised and we are down to 10.

and did he say why that is? Is it because of some football version of the Pauli exclusion principal? Or would it be because they don't get along.

Probably because Cork is Wanyama's understudy, Saints only need one player to sit in front of the centre backs.

Posted

But on Football manager, Cork can play in loads of positions, not just sit in front of the CBs. In fact, on football manager, Wanyama struggles to sit in front of the CBs. Doesn't Ponch know about FM2014 FFS?!

so we've got 2 one trick ponies capable of playing in only 1 position? wouldn't have thought that. So what he's saying is that if Morgan is out but Jack and Victor aren't neither is capable of slotting into the vacant role and we have to change everything around. Seems like an odd thing to say really.

Davis is the replacement for Schneiderlin's role.

JWP dropped deeper against City and Villa with Davis coming in where JWP had been playing ... if that makes sense.

BBC have it that Newcastle are the team we have most PL wins against and have scored most PL goals against. Guess we must have a pretty tidy home record against them.

No, they switched positions a couple of times, but in the main, Davis played in Centre Mid.

Well yeah. We've long had the sign over Newcastle at home. Virtually guaranteed three points every season.

I'm calling a defeat here. Simply because we don't do that well up there and I think they will be too good on the counter. They have great pace up front and will be up for it. Certainly far more up for it than City were last week.

That was true for a long while, particularly at The Dell, spookily enough our last win there was in 1972 (same as the hoodoo we've just broke at Old Trafford), at St Mary's however I think it's played 6, 2 wins, 2 draws, 2 defeats.
