pap Posted 6 December, 2013 Posted 6 December, 2013 Apologies if posted before. I've been too depressed to visit the mainboard lately. I follow Southampton Crown Court's Twitter proceedings to see how my mates are getting on. Saw this:- Southampton Courts @cSouthampton1h #ICD Artur Boruc, Southampton Room: 5 at 10:51 Any ideas?
Hatch Posted 6 December, 2013 Posted 6 December, 2013 funny if he gets locked up, for say roughly 5 weeks.
stevegrant Posted 6 December, 2013 Posted 6 December, 2013 Apparently it's a minor traffic thing, appealing against a fine for using unsuitable tyres or something along those lines.
adrian lord Posted 6 December, 2013 Posted 6 December, 2013 I thought is was for a count of criminal recklessness, in or about the Emirates penalty area, on the afternoon of Sat 23rd November.

Viking Warrior Posted 6 December, 2013 Posted 6 December, 2013 Police dont deal with real criminals now they spend more time chasing motoring offences, Its easier to get a conviction and the police because of Health and safety regulations can no longer put their officers at risk of catching real criminals
Deano6 Posted 6 December, 2013 Posted 6 December, 2013 Ummmm...people in violation of Health & Safety Laws are real criminals!

Found guilty because "I should have known" (how, by clairvoyance?) there were speed restrictions on an unmarked road. Total waste of everybody's time. Ended up with £500 in costs and fines, plus I missed a week of work all told. The bloke in the court next door got a weeks community service for a burglary.
Tom28 Posted 6 December, 2013 Posted 6 December, 2013 Ummmm...people in violation of Health & Safety Laws are real criminals! No, they're not. So what if illegal tyres resulted in causing an accident that wipes out an entire family. It's an easy mistake to make not to check your tyres, or to leave it until you get caught for having illegal tyres before replacing them. It's just bad luck if they caused an accident. The same goes for driving without insurance. So what if you hit someone and disable them them for life and not be able to afford any compensation. It's not like you meant for that to happen; doesn't make you a criminal. And driving without a valid MOT....it's easy to forget to put your car in for an MOT. So what if you're a few days late when your wheel shaft snaps on the motorway causing a pile up. Doesn't make you a criminal....

It would be funny if your entire family got wiped out by a non-criminal by someone driving a car with no MOT Certificate, bald tyres and no insurance; even funnier if the wheel shaft snapped and your mother was decapitated in the resulting smash.
PhilippineSaint Posted 6 December, 2013 Posted 6 December, 2013 What did you people do before the internet told you what the rules were? There are no rules and if somebody tells you there are Ask them for a copy with an official stamp or seal. It is not possible to know everything but bull shiet your way through most things works.
Cascadia Saint Posted 6 December, 2013 Posted 6 December, 2013 Apparently it's a minor traffic thing, appealing against a fine for using unsuitable tyres or something along those lines. He should escape with a slap on the wrist?
The9 Posted 6 December, 2013 Posted 6 December, 2013 Didn't Cortese insist on Saints players having "winter tyres" fitted, according to one of those Mail articles the other week...?
Tom28 Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 It would be funny if your entire family got wiped out by a non-criminal by someone driving a car with no MOT Certificate, bald tyres and no insurance; even funnier if the wheel shaft snapped and your mother was decapitated in the resulting smash. Whoosh
Saint137 Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 Hope the Daily Express don't get wind of this, they'll want him deported...

St_Tel49 Posted 8 December, 2013 Posted 8 December, 2013 Is this for real? That takes his tally to two
farawaysaint Posted 11 December, 2013 Posted 11 December, 2013 Appealing a 10,000GBP ticket that the judge called ridiculous and has since lowered to 1,000, apparently cooperated fully throughout and is a bit of a non-story.
