FA Cup Draw - Burnley at home

I would be surprised if Burnley put out a full strength team for this, promotion is worth so much more to them than a small cup run (realistically, they aren't going to win it). I would also put out a reserve team as the fixtures always pile up around this time of year. Maybe give Banega his debut too. ;)

Kelvin

Chambers - Yoshi - Tuesday night Jos - Fox

Cork - Reed

Davis - Gaston - Isgrove

Lambert

That would pretty much have been our first 11 at the start of last season and it should have enough quality to do the business against Burnley reserves.

Anyone know what's happened to Isgrove? He was at the top of the "Under 21s getting onto the 1st team bench" list a while back but the likes of Reed seem to have over-taken him? I don't think he's turned out for the U21s much this year either? Injured maybe?

Nobody yet moaned about it being a boring draw or a meh draw ?

Hopefully most people have realised that there are 63 teams in the draw and only about 5 of them aren't 'boring'.

In the last 5 years we've had Man Utd twice and Chelsea in the 3rd round so we can't really moan about boring ties.

Could be a tricky game, they play some nice football and are top of the Championship, so are no mugs. Good for JRod, lets hope no-one gets sentimental and considers playing Fox against his old team though. We must put out a strong side, with 5 PL teams guaranteed to be knocked out this is a trophy we stand a chance of winning (unlike the LC which was beginning to look very tough with all the big guns still in).

Just hope the tickets are priced sensibly.

We obviously won't put a good team out which is annoying.

I dunno about what our policy may be on the FA cup after recent results. Hopefully, with the best we can possibly hope for is a very unlikely top four finish, NC will give the nod for a proper try at the cup? I hope so.......

I predict that both teams will assume the other team will be fielding weaker teams, so both teams will play their strongest teams in the hope of thrashing each other. Both teams will get so worked up trying to beat each other it will end up like it does in the movies...They fight and quarrel, then it ends up in a snog fest and everyone gets banged in a heat of passion.

I was one of the 8,000 or so who forked out £22 to watch was basically our second string struggle to beat Bristol City in the League Cup.

Team looked strong enough on paper to beat Div 1 basement dwellers but if it hadn't been for Kelvin Davies we might not have got through

We will need to be relatively strong for this fixture and prices will have to be reasonable too

This is a good draw, Burnley unlike us have a valid reason to play a weakened side and they will and I am pretty confident we will run out comfortable winners on this occasion if we play like we did yesterday and have at home for most of the year, slowing the game and keeping the ball could be key as to creating space and tiring them out.

Tricky draw but an interesting one too.

I hope we take the FA cup seriously, it's our one chance of silverware left and we have a fighting chance of winning it.

Put out our best team and we should get through although Burnley play some good stuff and will have their tails up.
