Wes Tender Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 Very much this ^ pointless putting someone on ignore, if you see them when quoted. Isn't there any way that ALL posts by people on ignore can be hidden, even when quoted? Otherwise, there really is no point at all in the ignore function. Another thing I wouldn't mind having is a "like" or "dislike" feature.
Avenue Saint Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 What you want to do MODS, is create a like/dislike function on a small tab below each post. Each poster has a running tally where if such a number of dislikes is totted up, they spend time off this place. The ones that are off regularly, it speaks volumes through the major consensus their wum credentials and general uncalled for ****e stirring demands. The likes of Glasgow and Barry would be compelled to at least limit their bull****e then. Also mods do less "modding" and the whole forum contributes to making this place better. Perhaps then more of us may start paying the fiver to spend more time on here.
stug76 Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 There is the report post button. If there Is genuinely something you disapprove of, report it. At least it will get the message across to the mods, whether they do anything about it is another thing though.
Turkish Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 (edited) There really are some utter saps on this forum. Squealing because they have someone on ignore and someone else has quoted them. Its not difficult, if you see the name of someone you can't cope with their view at the top of a post, don't read it. And what sort of person reports things on an Internet forum. Are people really such delicate little flowers that they have to go squealing to the mods if they don't like what someone has posted on an anonymous Internet forum? Edited 7 December, 2013 by Turkish
Barry Sanchez Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 There have been nearly as many threads like this playground lark from supposed adults as there have concerning the wasteful use of money on Ramirez, these sly threads appear after every defeat and when someone comments upon it, they use Ramirez as a smokescreen to vent there duplicitous agenda. As a side note where have all the Ramirez threads been lately? There have not to a large extent, that ship has sailed and that is my point. Its a nasty sly vindictive action shown by quite frankly little children who can ignore if they want, are they really that upset by it all, are they really? If so they are very very very fortunate individuals.

Are people really such delicate little flowers that they have to go squealing to the mods if they don't like what someone has posted on an anonymous Internet forum? Reported pal. You have been warned.

Wiggles31 Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 Can we please collectively ignore blantant WUMing please. It just dominates this forum sadly. I respect differences in opinion by blantant WUMing is just worth ignoring.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 110persaint banned Pressume its a 1st ban so just temp
Barry Sanchez Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 110persaint banned Pressume its a 1st ban so just temp I dont even know how it works, I have about 6 points (have to take them on the chin but there is no appeal process) how many do you require for a ban? Are there stages of banning? And if you are permanently banned do you get a pro rata refund on your £5? After all a ban is subjective of one over anothers?
jasonb Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 The Saintsweb dream thread: someone offers an opinion, everyone else agrees, end of thread Kin ell you and others completely miss the point. Disagree agree it's all good and banter is brilliant. I've laughed so much at this forum over the years. I like the characters and as an infrequent poster it's always amused me. However, some of the constant bickering and point scoring is getting boring. Sorry to say it but there you go. Try living in the real world instead of a shell.

There are 50-60 regular posters on here - If those 60 were to meet daily and discuss saints there would be arguements, fights, point scoring and bickering, no different to how it plays out on here. If you have a large group you will always get a mixture of ages, characters, opinions, views, interpretation, expectation ect ect It seems some on here want everyone to be the same = sterile, boring, no opinion either way, "happy to have a club" ect Thats not 'real life' mate. For those that want news read the OS or BBC, for those happy to discuss Saints with a mix of characters should stick with SWF and try not to take everything so serious. (All imho)

I think if a Saints player read some of this he would be ****ing himself laughing, and in no way offended by it at all.

Alternatively open a new account and spread the infractions across accounts. Though guessing there's no need to tell you that.
Saint Charlie Posted 7 December, 2013 Author Posted 7 December, 2013 From what I've heard, Persaint won't be back.

jasonb Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 I was bored before I even began. Thank you sir. I thought it would go to waste on the illiterate proles!

Saint Charlie Posted 7 December, 2013 Author Posted 7 December, 2013 What have you seen mate? Let's just say the net is closing in...
Barry Sanchez Posted 7 December, 2013 Posted 7 December, 2013 Alternatively open a new account and spread the infractions across accounts. Though guessing there's no need to tell you that. I'm a sport and that accusation will fly past me, why would I do that? I am pretty sure writing in two different writing styles on a football forum is tiring, something I could not be nothered with at all.
