He was jogging backwards as he was waiting for the free kick to be taken and the Aston Villa defender saw him coming and barged him in the back - very cowardly. Osvaldo reacted which I assume resulted in his yellow. The Villa defender deserved one as well for his role.

Should that be dani osvaldos crap?

I do

Typical, the same people on here who can't see the bad in any saints players lol. They would probably still stand by Danny fox as being premiership quality given the chance!

I don't think osvaldo is crap as he's clearly not if he can get in the Italian side. However he is crap for us and is not suited to us one bit ! This in turn makes he look very crap.

Get rid and spend the money more wisely . Ditto with gaston.

The runs that DO was making tonight were good, he's a good player however tonight there wasn't much room upfront

Agreed, we just don't think or play the ball quick enough in midfield to take advantage of them. J-Rod was making some great runs in the second half as well.

MP got on the pitch at the end and pulled Osvaldo away and virtually frogmarched him down the tunnel, either he saw something had happened or was about to.

They replayed the incident on the live stream last night. A few of the players were kicking off after the dodgy foul on Luke Shaw which saw him flying into the air "superman" style. From the resulting free kick, Dani was running backwards at a fairly fast pace when a villa player deliberately ran into him shoulder first. If you watch the replay the force of the "barge" in the back flung Dani's head back quite a bit which then sparked off the yellow. To be fair to Dani, at first he was quite reasonable about it but when for some reason it seemed to flare up so guessing there was a bit of bobbing off from a villa player. Also, to be fair to Dani, given the nature of the barge I'm surprised he didn't punch the guy - i know i probably would have done!

must have missed those. For me he mostly he stands around waiting for the ball to come to him. That might be exactly what Poch wants him to do, who knows.

After the tackle on Shaw he was clearly telling a Villa player "i'll see you in a tunnel", and then something kicked off after the game there as well.

At least it'll make the 'matchday uncovered' video more entertaining than usual :)

When they finally got round to taking the free kick, he had a sneaky kick at the defender. That boy is not wired right.

There were planty of runs that DO was making last night. He wasn't brilliant but he did actually contribute and you may recall he did score. I think if you didn't see the action last night then clearly you did miss it, or chose to do so. Excluding pens and free kicks hasn't DO now scored as many goals as SRL this season for Saints? In a lot less apps. Both from open play. Not knocking SRL but a bit of perspective is needed with DO, he has started very few games, was injured in at least 2 that he did start and has contribute 2 league goals so far. Not great, but not that bad either.
