Wrensup Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 It is actually 'one of those games' tonight it's just unfortunate it's come while we've had to play Arse al Chelsea and Man City.
CB Fry Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 This has three-all game written all over it. We will definitely score again. Calm down everyone.
Dalek2003 Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 This has three-all game written all over it. We will definitely score again. Calm down everyone. Hope you are right !
Barry Sanchez Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Everyone enjoying the blame game?! We've not played badly overall, but we've made some bad decisions and been punished. Still time to get it back, we'll see. No need to go OTT, it's something we'll learn from. This has been copied and pasted from the last 15 years of our history, we never learn as the "Southampton way" is to **** it up.
pangy Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Villa 3 shots on target Gazza has not made a single save
Glasgow_Saint Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Everton 1 up Martinez take a bow son, great manager
Batman Posted 4 December, 2013 Author Posted 4 December, 2013 Need to find another GK by Saturday. how can we ?
Wrensup Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Yep and haven't seen Gazzaniga make a save tonight. Have you? Yes. Did you expect him too save it?
Barry Sanchez Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Due to injuries though... If you dont prepare, prepare to fail.
Norm Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Villa 3 shots all night, 3 goals with Gaz not making a save (and I'm not pointing a finger at him).
Glasgow_Saint Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 This has three-all game written all over it. We will definitely score again. Calm down everyone. We wont
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 This has been copied and pasted from the last 15 years of our history, we never learn as the "Southampton way" is to **** it up. Have you not watched us for the last 4 year's? You are such a dullard.
badgerx16 Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Need to find another GK by Saturday. Why ? Gazza had no real chance with any of the goals.
Dalek2003 Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Villa 3 shots on target Gazza has not made a single save Won't do much for his confidence will it ?
BotleySaint Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 I hope Pochettino has more than one tactic up his sleeve. Long old season ahead now! Almost certainly 4 defeats in a row.
JoeShmoe Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 We are losing because our squad is weak and poor signings have made it so, thats the harsh truth. Lol , you are a **** of the highest order you really are. A truly sad yet prime example of the modern day football supporter We lose one game of football but you have to be utterly melodramatic about it - every time
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 If you dont prepare, prepare to fail. I think we prepared for this match, I just don't think our back ups are good enough.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 5 minutes extra.... Where did that come from We have no urgency, just get the ball in the box ffs
Barry Sanchez Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Have you not watched us for the last 4 year's? You are such a dullard. The Premiership, the top flight, Jesus its obvious.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 We lose one game of football 3 in a row!!
DrunkenSaint Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 I hope Pochettino has more than one tactic up his sleeve. Long old season ahead now! Almost certainly 4 defeats in a row. 5 after the man city game
Edmonton Saint Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 My point is that good goalies make saves you don't expect them to. That is the point of a goalkeeper. All we ever seem to get with Gazziniga this season and last is next to little saves with an extremely high shots to goals ratio. That says it all about his ability or lack of.
Barry Sanchez Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 I think we prepared for this match, I just don't think our back ups are good enough. That is my point, Christ alive, you are as strongest as your weakest link.
John B Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Lol , you are a **** of the highest order you really are. A truly sad yet prime example of the modern day football supporter We lose one game of football but you have to be utterly melodramatic about it - every time Unfortunately Barry Sanchez is quite right
Dalek2003 Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Disappointing. This game was far more important than Chelski and Arsenal.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Villa are 3 points behind us now, Swansea just 4 Bottom half by xmas i think
hypochondriac Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Think we can now say we did a West Brom and it was just a good start.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 That is my point, Christ alive, you are as strongest as your weakest link. I know what your point was, I just enjoy seeing you try to justify the rubbish you spout.
Minty Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 There never was a 'bubble' except to the media and easily led fans. We had a great start, we did well, we've now had some poor results. Most sensible fans didn't overreact to the good start, and they won't overeact to these defeats. We're a work in progress, and these are valuable lessons.
Dalek2003 Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Villa are 3 points behind us now, Swansea just 4 Bottom half by xmas i think Think we will need 44 points for safety.
Mr X Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Osvaldo has been much better but not a great deal of note apart from the close range header
Barry Sanchez Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Lol , you are a **** of the highest order you really are. A truly sad yet prime example of the modern day football supporter We lose one game of football but you have to be utterly melodramatic about it - every time Joe I am 38 and have supported and will continue to support Southampton, its the modern day tripper Saints fans and I include Cortese in that who thinks we are bigger than we are and thinks we can get into Europe in the current format, naive and absolutely childish.
andymcrowe Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 I'm not even going to wait for the trolls after this result....watch out - here they come....
JoeShmoe Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 3 in a row!! We're nearly halfway into the season, were 7th and were above ManUtd And that's still not good enough We're having a rough patch, every tran has that in a season even the top teams Now is the time to support the team and get behind them not whinge constantly. It's not supporting your team, it's negative moaning

Most sensible fans didn't overreact to the good start, and they won't overeact to these defeats. We're a work in progress, and these are valuable lessons. Common sense. So rare on this fora...
CB Fry Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 We were never going to get anything out of this game once we went 3-2 down.
Minty Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Joe I am 38 and have supported and will continue to support Southampton, its the modern day tripper Saints fans and I include Cortese in that who thinks we are bigger than we are and thinks we can get into Europe in the current format, naive and absolutely childish. There's a fine line between thinking we're bigger than we are, and aiming high. There's nothing wrong with aiming high IMO, otherwise how else do you improve? Childish is a silly description IMO...
Saint_Ash Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Strength in depth isn't there unfortunately. Good starting 11 but a few more good players away from top 6 over the course of the season. Need to be more clinical and missed a settled back 5.
Barry Sanchez Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 There never was a 'bubble' except to the media and easily led fans. We had a great start, we did well, we've now had some poor results. Can we get the Europe threads up from 2 weeks ago, the "our midfield is better than Arsenals" pearler, the England/Southampton team threads, day tripper clappers.
ottery st mary Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 Can we get the Europe threads up from 2 weeks ago, the "our midfield is better than Arsenals" pearler, the England/Southampton team threads, day tripper clappers. WHY DON'T YOU JUST ffs GO AWAY

There's nothing wrong with aiming high IMO, otherwise how else do you improve? Childish is a silly description IMO... All clubs aim high its not a new concept, their are far bigger clubs with more fans, bigger budgets and more clout aiming as well. Admirable but old hat and not going to happen.
alpine_saint Posted 4 December, 2013 Posted 4 December, 2013 This has three-all game written all over it. We will definitely score again. Calm down everyone. We were never going to get anything out of this game once we went 3-2 down. Hmmm...
