Restark19 Posted 3 December, 2013 Share Posted 3 December, 2013 Definite lack of self-awarness from you. Your sarcastic response has become as tedious and repetitive as you have accused my loving nickname of Senor Ramirez of being... wrong.

Window Cleaner Posted 3 December, 2013 Share Posted 3 December, 2013 Gaston injured, probably why he wasn´t on the bench against Chelsea. Isn't he supposed to be ill ?

Cascadia Saint Posted 4 December, 2013 Share Posted 4 December, 2013 could he really be any worse than JWP yesterday ? I'd say notoriety has gone to JWP's head, he was useless yesterday and his much vaunted set piece kicks were a total waste of time. Yeah! What an arsehole JWP is. 19 years old and a complete waste of space. Oh wait. That's you.

shirleysfc Posted 4 December, 2013 Share Posted 4 December, 2013 FWIW my opinion of Ramirez is that he hasn't lived up to his price tag. I suppose it's a sympton of modern football that the first thing players are compared against is their price tag/wages etc. Having said that his first season in English football was nowhere near as bad as some make out. I don't really know where the lazy stuff comes from, he never looks lazy to me. If anything he always looks like he's trying to do too much, instead of play the simple ball. If we'd bought him for half the price there wouldn't be anywhere near as much hysteria.
JoeShmoe Posted 4 December, 2013 Share Posted 4 December, 2013 I dont think he'll play for us again tbh, Be sent on loan in Jan and we'll get one or two in like Aaron Hunt

Similar stats last year to double the price tag and he´s playing for the best team in the league so should be easier for him to have more goals/assists. Does that mean that Kagawa is a terrible player? Of course not.
Bucks Saint Posted 4 December, 2013 Share Posted 4 December, 2013 Given the abuse for GR and DO on here, Spurs fans must be screaming to get rid of Lamela then (1 goal, 2 assists) or Soldado (4 goals, 2 assists). Make our purchases look cheap

Bazza's arguement will be that United have a bigger budget so can afford to spend big on players that take longer to settle, where as we need imediate impact if we spend £10m+. Hate to flame the fire but Bazza is, as so often the case, absolutely spot on. £10m+ players better start performing early (i.e. no later than 6 weeks, 6 games at most) as that sort of money is absurd for a professional footballer who needs time to "bed in" wherever they go. Time is money, and the longer these players don't perform for us the more of a loss and a liability they become.

david in sweden Posted 4 December, 2013 Share Posted 4 December, 2013 So the toothless formation/lineup that played yesterday would do a better job you think? Let's face it, like I said in my OP with AL not playing well, we are absolutely clueless: WBA: penalty Sunderland: set piece Norwich: no goals West Ham: no goals Liverpool: set piece (by AL) Palace: AL assist, set piece Swansea: AL, Jayrod fluke United: set piece Fulham: set piece, AL cross Stoke: Jayrod fluke Hull: Morgan, AL, penalty(won by AL), Davis Arsenal: no goals Chelsea: Jayrod fluke There you go: take out AL, and take out set pieces, penalties and Jayrod flukes, and we've scored TWICE that's right a paltry TWO LEAGUE GOALS ALL SEASON! Really need that spark and a breath of fresh air in the team - Ramirez is just the ticket imho. PS nothing against Jayrod, just for some reason 3 of his 4 league goals this season have been flukes lol impressive stats. (for those who want to be impressed) but tell me WHY are Jay Rod's goals classified as FLUKES ? ... what ever happened to those old phrases......" good anticipation " and " goal poacher ". If we take out the flukes.....what on Earth constitutes a " genuine goal " ..according to this survey ? A 25 yard piledriver?....... or a header from inside the box ?....or a volley with his back to the goal?
