Is a sh*thole full of nutters. Don't go there.

Today I saw 2 girls who couldn't have been older than about 12, screaming at a traffic light and a boy about 16 who shouted "aaaaaaagh Southampton!" when he saw the logo on my jacket.

That is all.

You wear a Southampton jacket? Even on non match days?

Says a lot

Maybe he was making an exception and doubling up with an extra coat. It was jolly cold.

It was cold and I was wearing a think black fleece with a small Saints logo on the front. Not one of those ghastly waterproofs with "flybe" in foot high letters on the back.

Anyway, that doesn't really say much. I see loads of people walking around with football hats, scarves and jackets on when it isn't a matchday. The real kn*bs are the ones you see in a nightclub wearing their replica Man Utd shirts.

You can wear a football shirt to a nightclub?

Why the **** can't I get in to a club wearing a pristine pair of decent trainers?

Getting kick in the head with trainers hurts more than getting kicked in the head with shoes I guess.

Why not wear your uniform then? Very smart and lots of nice Scottish girls love a man in uniform; you only have to watch 'Road Wars' to know that.

Oh and BTW; can't you organise a better shift than one which ends up with a stopover in Prestwick? Even Athens is better this time of year, even with the riots.

It is a serious point though.

Black shoes with jeans is not a good look.

Both jeans would look better with a decent pair of clean, white traners. FACT.

i am all for no trainers in nightclubs. No need. Scruffy bugger.

Stan Smiths or the like do look teh dogs with jeans, but not for a night out. Oh noes

Shirt tucked in/left out?

Depends. I have a nice studded brown belt that matches some brown loafers i have perfectly, so i tuck in when i wear that.

Also depends on the shirt, if its a fitted shirt, it looks good tucked, if its not, it could billow a bit if tucked in, but could also hang down a bit long and look a bit crap.

Tough call

Out of interest steve oh! How long would it take on average to prepare for a night out?

Takes me about 1hr 30 ish for a big night, including shower shave, pre nightly tug and sorting myself out generally, trim up the hidden inch, moisturise, apply cover up stick where required, sort my hair, trim my nails both toe and finger and get some clothes together, match shoes and belt. then good to go!

I would disagree, especially if the shoes have steel toe-caps. But you can certainly run away faster in trainers once you have given that kick to the head.

N.B. All of the above is said from a hypothetical point of view and not one of experience. Honest guv.
