Viking Warrior Posted 11 December, 2008 Share Posted 11 December, 2008 IM looking to buy a reasonably priced lap top for some one as a present Anybody like to recommend a particular make or model. There seems to be a fair few out there. Im looking for something with a minimum 160GB HD 3g of ram etc Vista home premium Places like pc world have a few tosh satellites, but they do not look that robust. So your advice warmly welcomed
saint_stevo Posted 11 December, 2008 Share Posted 11 December, 2008 Can you give us an idea of what it is likely to be used for? Gaming etc? Price limit? Can you put a number on it rather than 'reasonably priced' as that is open to interpretation. usually a few kicking about on http://www.hotukdeals.com

St Landrew Posted 12 December, 2008 Share Posted 12 December, 2008 Aldi are doing a couple of laptops at excellent prices. If you're worried about their quality, they hold 3 year guarantees, and are certainly NOT refurbished items that may have already gone wrong once or twice. Also, i have configured and played with about 250 dell laptops in the past year and not had any major problems with any of them either. You hear good and bad things about everything!
