Today's games

Results seem us drop a fair bit over the last few weeks, bit of a shame. But the fixtures have played a part. It's a bit frustrating that we play the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Spurs all in close succession.

After already playing just about everyone in the bottom half in the first dozen games? Was always going to happen.

Still, I think we'll beat Chelsea tomorrow to make the table look unreal rather than just amazing.

That's probably where abouts we're at though tbf. We should hve beaten Sunderland and West Ham at home, and probably done better at Norwich and Stoke.

Those results will hurt us now as we play the top teams. Was always going to happen the way the fixtures were. If we're still top 8 come Jan 2nd I'll be happy.

I remember last season West ham, Stoke and Norwich all had runs of winnable fixtures, west ham got the season off to a great start and were sitting pretty after 10 games. Norwich too had a very good run about this time last year when they won a few and went on a good run. Stoke had the best defence in Europe when we played them just before Xmas and were high up th tbable. When they played a few of the better sides again naturally those runs came to an end and they dropped a few places. I recall the shouting from the rooftops that West Ham were only were they were early last season due to their easy fixtures and they were now showing their true form. Norwich and Stoke were ridiculed as being terrible, sliding down the table and serious relegation candidates. I presume if we drop down to midtable after our run of, let's call them more challenging fixtures, the same rational would be used with us?

Seems strange to see us on a lowly 7th place....

Unlikely set of results, not least us being the first team to win at the Bridge during Mourinho's reigns, could still see us 2nd after tomorrow. More likely we will be 8th. Just shows how close it is at the top apart from Arsenal. But a bit of a gap developing below 9th amd the team in 10th we play on Wednesday.

Honestly think there's no contact on Welbeck there, maybe a slight touch on the back of his leg but that's AFTER he's going down.

thought that. BT were fawning over the decision saying what a great one it was.

thought welbeck left his foot in to be fair

saying that, hardly blame the ref for giving it in real time

Watching the undercard games today, Spurs vs Man U is pretty good. Kyle Walker is having a storming game to silence the critics, goal and an assist so far. Can't see Clyne getting past him for England on this form.

The goal was awful... quality set up from Walker for Rooney's first goal though, to be fair to him.

That's what I thought. Welbeck tripped over the keeper, he wasn't tripped by him. If you watch Welbeck's left leg he makes no attempt to take another stride, he just leaves it trailing enough to touch Lloris's hand. He's already turning to look at the ref before he hits the ground.

I was out driving + collymore said something interesting, he said it's only foul if the contact stops the player doing what he was trying to do. Wellbz at that moment was trying to go down + lloris didn't stop him from doing that. If anything he was helping.
