If Spurs did nick mopo id take AVB here.

However i dont see Spurs being interested just yet - too early for mopo and he is still unproven and won nothing.

Will be some top managers ahead of mopo - Laudrup is the obvious + Klopp, di matteo, Kilnsmann, zola, bielsa. Think even Tim Sherwood would be ahead of mopo just now

Sorry don't really get your point.

Maybe I didn't make it clear, unless arguing for sake of it ;)

Take Southampton out of it and think you will see my point.

I don't care about this list of notional biggest clubs. I don't think professional sportsman / managers do either. It is where a club is, at any given moment, or where they are going to be next season, and less so over next few years.

Imagine back at beginning of season, a player choosing a new club there are loads of examples of where the more appealing option would be what you deem a smaller club.

Swansea, club on up, European Football, well thought of manager / set up - easier to attract players than, for example Villa.

Hull, Palace, Cardiff v Leeds , Middleborough

Cherries v sheff U, Coventry, wolves etc.

Players won't turn down more money, profile etc in championship to play in league 1 because it's big club.

If a new team, with crowds of 30k, got into champions league, had investment to take them on etc were looking at players/ managers. And spurs, for example had finished 8th. There us no way spurs remain automatic choice because they are deemed big/ did well in past etc.

So you are theorising about a made up club that doesn't exist. Great. Useful. Especially as you've linked it to stating the bleedin' obvious.

And you accuse me of arguing for the sake of it.

The sort of club that would have a realistic target of finishing top yet would settle for 7th, yes?

If he keeps his head down and works hard, gets a bit of luck maybe in a few years eh GS?

He has a long way to go, but sure keep going and maybe one day.

Things happen fast in football, but realistically he will need to win something before he can start to think about a move.

I am sure that's what he dreams of. Doing well enough here to move on.

Football management is the same as any job - if youre ambitious you will not want to manage Southampton forever

Mopo will try to do well for us so he can get a move to a bigger club.

I said only a couple of months ago there is a very good argument that Spurs are the most supported club in London, this suggests I am right, I once again got hammered for it from the spotty 19 year old Sky Sports contingent.

Spurs fans seem to rare MP quite low on their wish list.

who cares, they'll get what they're given, football management is not a greek democracy. Anyway they've got AVB for now and I really can't see that changing any time soon. If they wanted success they shouldn't have sold Bale.

Shows very little - so we spent years in a tiny, capacity constrained ground? So what? No reflection of our real support.

This is a bit of a myth, We were only restricted by the capacity for about 10 years when the Dell was made all seater in the 90s prior to that we rarely sold out.

Spurs fans want Klopp apparently, that did tickle me.

Remember reading a couple on here genuinely thought we should have gone for guardiola when adding was rumoured to be going

Yep, I remember that too, they also thought he'd definitely be interested too.
