Otherwise I think its Fonte (3), Lovren (2) and Morgan (2) who are the only ones in any danger of a ban due to playing position and in the case of Schneiderlin, the style we play. Unlikely Wanyama will hold out to the cut off anyway, although will be a blow to lose him for one of the numerous big games coming up.

Or you could argue that we just want the strongest team for Villa which on paper is the best chance of 3 points? Ideally, he would somehow manage to get through to the Cardiff or Everton game where we may rotate anyway.

Villa game won't be easy. Another way of looking at it is, that we'll probably lose to Man City home or Everton away, so might as well miss one of those. Confident that Cork can do a decent enough job in the middle anyway.

His 'injury' may have been so he could attend the birth. We are spoilt having a player of his calibre as back up to Big Vic and Morgs.
