Come on Phil. Eric was man enough to identify himself (vertically challenged stud muffin that he is) Grow a pair of balls and 'fess up!! wink.gif
go to Sky sports and the golf and you will see features on him, he is the one with the leaf picker and carrying the dustbin bag. If you don't have luck there, go to the Forum football match and search for losing football manager and loads of pics of him will come up

Oh cool, so you did hear the Interview with me on Sky Sports last Thursday. Awesome.

FFS Ohio it ain't rocket science considering we have Globally linked Social Media sites for fans these days, but then I guess being part American these days one doesn't know how to find anything on the internet other than Amazon.com, TSW & pictures of Nuns. ;)

2-0 loss against Arsenal, not to bad really. As much as I screamed at Boruc through the computer when he tried the solo... God, looking back at the video, its hilarious! Makes me like him even more, really, always good entertainment watching him play! (wish that I could laugh at another team's goalie for something similar though instead of our own...) In some ways it's a good feeling being annoyed we gifted them two goals instead of being completely overrun and playing like nervous schoolboys in the same feature last season.

The goal at Stoke was good, but I think he possibly topped it on Sat. Can't wait to see what he does for his next trick! I reckon the referee might blow whistle, Boruc assumes it's full time + turns round to applaud fans but oh no! It's a free-kick! Torres hits it goalward, it hits crossbar bounces back hits Boruc in nuts and ends up goal.

Lols all round

We are a Good side, are we good enough to finish above One of Man United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs? Im not so sure. so we can realistically finish 7th-10th. We could finish above Everton to get 7th but that would be great achievement. IMO we will finish 8th or 9th. This would still be a great achievement for a club, let's not forget, are only in our second season back in top flight. Add another 3 quality players to the squad next summer and seriously, Maybe, just maybe we can push for the top 4.

Don't get me wrong turkish, I don't think we can expect anything. There are good sides everywhere in the top 10 teams. I just think that our squad, injury free, can tackle any team we come across. I personally feel that on another day we could have got a point from Arsenal, we have shown we are a match if not better than liverpool for my money, the spuds are rocking, and united are poor. It is a real chance for ouselves and everton to do something special.

I will be dissapointed if we come lower that 8th however, and that was my pre-season self talking, I have seen nothing to change it. It is a even league outside of chelsea $hity and the Arse.... and there are teams going for 4th spot. At the moment we are definetley in the running for anything up to 4th with a good chunk of the season gone.... If we managed to add 3 quality players to the team then I think we can actually realisticaly have a solid chance for that 4th spot, rather than a dream and relying on spuds manure and co ballsing it up. But for now, life is wonderful no? ;) We even have the most entertaining goalie in the UK, maybe europe?

The atmosphere on Saturday was terrible, too many people in our end just there to enjoy a day out at the Emirates.

In the second half I turned around to try and get something going (which I am aware makes me look like a c***), one bloke did a sad face as if to tell me he was too down. We were one-nil down for ****s sake!

I got increasingly frustrated with those around us (which again I know made me look like a c***), and that frustration was topped off when they all piped up to sing "Theo, Theo, Theo" at the final whistle. I looked around and there was sad face matey giving it everything he had for Theo ****ing Walcott. I may have made a **** of myself at this point but that was a shocking, shocking atmosphere.

I thought we might have got that out the way last season, but no. Their fans were hilariously poor, only really heard them when the ball went near Boruc.

A few people were cheering near me when he came on. Last season he gave us a clap after the game. It ends there. To carry it on now is plain ridiculous.

He did but so did our players and they deserved a better reception than hearing the majority of our fans chant for someone who left us at the first opportunity.

exactly this, i was amazed , perhaps i am missing something but like Barry says above people near us , silent for much for the match enjoying their trip to the Emirates stadium seemed to come to life to shout Theo! at the end, a player who acheived or contributed nothing to us as a club other than his transfer fee.

perhaps they were Arsenal fans.

There is no doubt that Boruc was at fault for not putting the ball out when he was closed down. However He did look to pass but Hooiveld was spectating behind Giroud and made no attempt to give him an angle for a pass so he had to turn back, at which point he should have belted it out. Likewise Fonte was doing the same thing on the other side of Giroud. Neither centre back gave him a passing option, which then led to his Bambi on ice ball juggling.

You've put it better than me. They were both standing there open-mouthed. If they had had pockets in their shorts they would have put their hands in them.

Did you have a red and white thinly striped scull cap on per chance?

The trouble with some keepers is they think they can play out and have forgotten why they ended up in goal in the first place.

Hooiveld was open and available for the pass, had Boruc chosen to take it early after moving the ball onto his left foot (Clyne was marked to the right) - there was a slight risk of Giroud possibly intercepting, but that doesn't explain the next two dragback options Boruc took. Fonte was never on for the pass, and was never likely to be, he was in the right position to support Clyne, who chose to backpass instead, and making himself available for a pass from Boruc would have meant running into the space Hooiveld was in, which was pointless. Also, Boruc might not have wanted to pass to Hooiveld given his rustiness and what happened when he passed to Wanyama against Hull. Not that the eventual outcome was any better, but it was a split-second decision. The angle was there and he could have taken it.

Oh, and here's a screenshot as proof.

Oh, and seeing as almost all the highlights online (as well as the ones in the stadium post match) only show the penalty and not the foul, has anyone else managed to get a screen grab of the shirt pull on Hooiveld by Giroud which caused him to slip over BEFORE the pull by Fonte on Mertesacker? Bearing in mind neither Fonte or Mertesacker were near the location of the ball, and Giroud hoiking down Hooiveld (which he also did as the pen was being given) actually led to him getting the ball from the corner.

So, not a pen either - should have been a free-kick to Saints first.

That angle disappeared rapidly but had either CB moved quickly goalwards it would have opened up again if only for a square pass goal side of Hooiveld. Neither moved until Giroud had won the ball by then it was far too late to do anything. I did say when he was closed down not before he was closed down. If he had passed to Hooiveld immediately the goal wouldn't have happened, however when he didn't and the CBs then failed to react making a new angle with Boruc himself failing to recognise he was in trouble the goal was pretty inevitable. Failing all that as soon as he was under pressure the ball should have gone out of play because he really had no other option..

So many people want 'three quality players added' but the 'quality players' from outside have disappointed so far, why get more of them? It's the home grown guys who have excelled, lets make space for more of them..

Very good point. Our record buying players in is not that good so if we do look to bring in two or three then this time we either need to do Wenger and coach them fast or buy a lot more carefully....

Am a little surprised that we haven't managed to coach Rimirez and Osvaldo to play here...... They both give away possession far too easily. Both dwell on the ball far too long and both play with their head down.... So bl---dy coach them !!!!!!!

I did, and yes I know I was acting like a ****, but we tried so hard to get things going and I was totally exasperated.

I witnessed your pain and your two pals.

Strange really, it was buzzing in the concourse before the game but that did not transfer to the terraces.

Pat yourselves on the back for trying though mate.

Just seen a copy of the Sunday People from Nov 24th Page 6 of their total football, are these papers telling the truth any of the time, or does it depend on where you buy your paper, and a different slant is given per region. Anyway this rag was totaly wrong on a few points. Their box highlighting the game (sorry can't scan paper)

Arsenal v Southampton

shots on target 2 2

shots off target 4 4

corners 11 4

fouls 8 11

offsides 2 2

yellow cards 2 1

red cards 0 1

passing success 75.2% 66.0%

possesion 61.9% 38.1%

territory 55.2% 44.8%

As far as I can remember no Arsenal player was booked, and no Saints player was sent off, and as for the stats for possesion etc. way of the mark!

Hooiveld probably could have moved a few yards deeper, but was unlikely to have been able to in the time he had to react to Boruc's first dummy, and he was being closed down by the time of the left foot missed dragback. Hoof was certainly the best option after the first dummy.

Missed the build up becaue I work Saturdays, why were Fox and KD not on the bench, anyone know ? Illness, Injury, being phased out ?

K Davis was ill I believe, not sure why we'd name Fox with Chambers already on the bench and Clyne switching our preferred option - though as we were already behind, choosing the more attacking Ward-Prowse to play RB looked a sensible way of not losing the attacking threat down our right, he and S Davis covered each other fairly frequently.
