ericofarabia Posted 22 November, 2013 Posted 22 November, 2013 Ivan Golac. Still my favourite imported player ever - and by golly there have been some strong contenders.
The Saint Posted 22 November, 2013 Posted 22 November, 2013 I don't remember it being a "brief stay at the top" as reported.. Weren't we top for longer than Liverpool during that season?
rick1976.4.38 Posted 22 November, 2013 Posted 22 November, 2013 great days, lets see if this team can compare
ericofarabia Posted 23 November, 2013 Posted 23 November, 2013 I don't remember it being a "brief stay at the top" as reported.. Weren't we top for longer than Liverpool during that season? According to the trusty "In That Number" tome of all things SFC it states that we were Top of The League longer than anyone else that season - 30 Jan till 20 March FFS. Who knows what may have happened if Steve Moran with his pace and movement hadn't been injured for the last 22 games?
Gemmel Posted 23 November, 2013 Posted 23 November, 2013 The irony that Keith Cassells was involved in our greatest ever goal.
The Saint Posted 23 November, 2013 Posted 23 November, 2013 Cheers Eric.. Thought as much. I also remember that after going top against Middlesborough we never really played as well as we had done up to that point. T'was a bloody good feeling though....
