Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 November, 2013 Posted 17 November, 2013 Do any of you have experience with this? Spotting a young player and tipping him for the big time, only to see it happen? Last year I tipped Ryan Gauld of Dundee United for the big time, he was only 15 when i first saw him and tipped him immediately for the top. No guarantees but man united and real madrid are now watching him. Some of you will also remember me tipping Wanyama after just a couple of Celtic games. Likewise I saw Barkley playing for Everton vs Saints 5 years ago and posted on here about his potential and star quality. Any similar stories? Or any stars in the making?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 November, 2013 Author Posted 17 November, 2013 (edited) Your such a tit Excellent post as always mate This might explain some of your jealousy good talent spotting mate http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?11429-Marlon-Harewood http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?23698-Gary-Glitter#.UokuNX8gGK0 http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?15526-Lita-joins-middlesborough#.Uokt6n8gGK0 Edited 17 November, 2013 by Glasgow_Saint

Turkish Posted 17 November, 2013 Posted 17 November, 2013 You may recall a few weeks back I posted a copy of the email I sent to tellrupert@saintsfc.co.uk recommending a young French midfielder called Morgan Schniderlin to the club after seeing him play whilst holidaying in France.

Toon Saint Posted 17 November, 2013 Posted 17 November, 2013 My ex-girlfriend's step-dad had a grandson in the Birmingham academy, so used to go watch their youngsters train a few times. Probably at least four years ago now, but Foday Nabay was about a foot taller than the other kids his age - think it was the u11's - and had some serious ability to go with the physique. Used to play up front when I watched him but now converted to a midfielder, I believe. He has also been transferred to Fulham's academy but hotly tipped for the future and has been playing for England U-16's. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11681/8836944/ *Realise this probably wasn't meant to be a serious thread

Fulham have a very good youth side just now. 3-4 should probably get in the Fulham side just now
Horley CTFC Saint Posted 17 November, 2013 Posted 17 November, 2013 Its like talent spotting, I noticed ages ago you were a tit only to see it happen Great Tit, Blue Tit, Bearded Tit....be specific - how do you expect to keep the likes of Chris Packham interested otherwise?
kpturner Posted 17 November, 2013 Posted 17 November, 2013 Your such a tit I think you mean "You're such a tit". Anyway, personally I am awestruck but GS's fantastic talent spotting skills - and modesty.
sandwichsaint Posted 17 November, 2013 Posted 17 November, 2013 I spotted a Mr A. Lallana come off the bench at the Hawthorns for a 15 minute cameo (not sure if it was his debut?) and score a fantastic goal, mental celebrations which ended with me putting my foot through the back of the seat in front, I've still got the scar on my shin. I told anybody that would listen he was going to be the real deal based on that 15 minutes. Does this count? I also fore-saw that a young Nathan Dyer looked like a future Prem player. Got lots wrong too, I used to think Tandanari Lee was decent and a part of me still wonders what we could have made of Antonio ?
positivepete Posted 17 November, 2013 Posted 17 November, 2013 Saw Danny Ings play loads in the Tyro League, it never crossed my mind that he would reach the heights he has. Well done to him, and no stars for me!
Tokyo-Saint Posted 17 November, 2013 Posted 17 November, 2013 The term is flushed Turks. Welcome everyone. I take 100% credit for wade Elliot's success and should probably be a hero in Burnley. Wade was about to quit football and go to 'camp America' instead. I drunkenly spoke with him in ikon and diva and told him he had too Mich talent to be a camp American. After a while he saw sense, bought me and drink and we both agreed I was the greatest. The rest is history.
dubai_phil Posted 18 November, 2013 Posted 18 November, 2013 I spotted Michael Carrick on Friday. Told him with some effort he could have a future in football, or was it in golf?
buctootim Posted 18 November, 2013 Posted 18 November, 2013 Saw Nathan Dyer in the championship and confidently predicted he was too small and lightweight, ran into too many dead ends and and had too bad an attitude to make it.
pap Posted 18 November, 2013 Posted 18 November, 2013 Saw Nathan Dyer in the championship and confidently predicted he was too small and lightweight, ran into too many dead ends and and had too bad an attitude to make it. "No final ball", my mate would say. He's improved, but not that much.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 19 November, 2013 Author Posted 19 November, 2013 You're so full of sh*t. says the fired ex forum mod
Smirking_Saint Posted 19 November, 2013 Posted 19 November, 2013 I quit, citing you as a reason. Why get drawn in bud ? He is a tit, we all know it. TBF you have got a bit more original lately, fair play to that
Bearsy Posted 19 November, 2013 Posted 19 November, 2013 Why get drawn in bud ? He is a tit, we all know it. don't you like tits?
Smirking_Saint Posted 19 November, 2013 Posted 19 November, 2013 don't you like tits? I love tits, read it to that what you will. Whats your fav part of the tit ? The nipple ? The underhang ? The sideboob ?
Tokyo-Saint Posted 19 November, 2013 Posted 19 November, 2013 My mate once boned this girl. I thought she was pretty cute and asked him bout it the next day. She said she was nice but had hair nipples. This was strange as she seemed like a cute girl.
Bearsy Posted 19 November, 2013 Posted 19 November, 2013 eww. I spose the main thing I really like is symmetry, I care more bout that than even the size. You really cannot tell when birds is bra how much of a discordance you are going to find in comparative size and shape between left boob and right boob. It always comes as a bit of a surprise to me, I spose cos the fake boobs you see in tv+porns is always so perfectly symmetrical.
Smirking_Saint Posted 19 November, 2013 Posted 19 November, 2013 You mean tits that dont match ? Yeah I hate that, sometimes the tits hate it too, they want to be the same I think
Glasgow_Saint Posted 19 November, 2013 Author Posted 19 November, 2013 TBF you have got a bit more original lately, fair play to that Thanks mate
